  I would like to thank a staff member named Gelo. On August 20, 2026, he helped me make a payment for my items when I was ordering online, as my foreign cards were rejected by the REI online store. He suggested purchasing a gift card and helped me complete the payment successfully. He was very helpful and went above and beyond to solve the issue. Before speaking with Gelo, I was dealing with two other workers (cashiers), a man and a blonde woman. Unfortunately, they did not help me at all and simply said there was nothing they could do when my card was declined. I believe staff should be trained to offer alternative solutions when customers experience payment issues. Please educate those two cashiers. Thank you and special thanks to Gelo for his excellent CS!

  My experience was extremely disappointing. The staff repeatedly reminded me that the store was about to close—at least eight times (“10 minutes,” “8 minutes,” “6 minutes,” “4 minutes”). I understand stores have closing hours, but the constant pressure made me feel rushed and uncomfortable. Because I was trying to hurry back to the fitting room to try on more clothes, one of the employees had left a clothing rack blocking part of the walkway. I hit my knee very hard against it and actually started bleeding. Even while I was trying to recover from the pain, the staff continued pressuring me to hurry because the store was closing. When I finally got to the register, I was asked to purchase the membership, which I did. Then the cashier entered my email incorrectly multiple times, and after all that, they didn’t even have shopping bags available. I had to carry everything I purchased in my hands. Not to mention every time I made a simple question about an item they were just rushing me for make me buy the membership. Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. The lack of concern after I was injured and the constant pressure to rush made the entire experience very unpleasant.
