  I bought a bike from REI about 10 months ago and also paid for the membership because I trusted the return policy and customer service they advertise. Since the day I bought the bike, the brakes never worked properly. Now the bike needs service for the brakes, chain, and several other issues. I went back expecting support, but instead they told me they could not take the bike back in its current condition and only offered to repair part of the problems. What made the experience even worse was that one employee suggested I should just sell the bike on Facebook Marketplace. That felt extremely disrespectful and frustrating after spending so much money and trusting this company. I honestly feel disappointed and misled. I expected much better service from REI, especially as a member. This experience completely broke my trust in the company. I will not be coming back, and I would not recommend buying a bike here if customer support and reliability matter to you.
