- JMJonathan ModrowJun 21, 20264.0Love this spot. Been a loyal REI shopper for 20 years+. If anything lacks it's just help out on the floor. I understand it's a sign of the times to staff tightly. The staff they do have are friendly, much more knowledgeable than is usual in retail these days, and eager to help. Certainly pricey for some folks, but I have found them to frequently be cheaper brand for brand than Amazon without sale pricing. Add in sales, membership credits, and clearances and there are definite opportunities for value.

As a result, I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes just to make a purchase. The wait time was unreasonable, and the store should have had additional staff available to help customers.
