  It’s a public course so I did not go expecting a lot. Played 2 round while visiting the area. Fairways are wide, greens are slower than what I am used to. There are rude sentries at the entrance who will ask for an ID and yelled at me because I was in the wrong lane apparently the first time and then on the second day I wasn’t close enough for him to look at my Drivers license which I took out for him to see. They do have an driving range which is not covered and a nice chipping area which can be busy. Overall good value.

  Played Moffet last Sunday morning. The course is very long and we played from the red tees. It was my first time playing this course. Prior to playing, I scoped out all of the holes and felt that it would be critical to have a good drive off of the tee. Each of the holes had fairly open fairways that were bordered often by tall trees. No single hole had overhanging trees that hindered tee shots per se. But, if you tee'd off OOB, it made any subsequent shots pretty hard to recover from in many cases. The grounds were well-kept, the grass kept the ball sitting up making all approach shots from the fairway easier to make. The bunkers had soft sand and were pretty manicured. Greens were sometimes slow sometimes fast. Wind in the morning was not a factor until closer to lunchtime. That said, I felt that my normal tee shot distances were often @10% shorter than normal. Maybe it was that I was new to the course playing it safe to get good tee shots in the fairway. My longest drive was @240yds on the 18th hole even though I typically hit 240+ on almost all other courses. Course layout was quite variable - good amount and mix of dog legs and straight holes, but it seemed like there were more par 5's than park's. All in all, I loved playing here and shot one of best rounds to date.

  I really enjoy playing at The Golf Club at Moffett Field. The course is generally very well-maintained, though I usually avoid playing here during the rainy winter season when conditions can get tough. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with my recent online booking. I had cleared my busy schedule specifically to play a full 18-hole round today, which made the situation even more frustrating. When booking on the website, the time slot clearly displayed an "18-hole" icon alongside an aeration alert. I naturally assumed the discounted rate was due to the green maintenance after aeration. However, upon arrival, the staff informed me that it was strictly for the back 9, and playing another 9 holes would require paying again. Had the website clearly indicated it was only a 9-hole play, I wouldn't have booked it, especially knowing I had set aside time for a complete 18-hole round. It’s a great course, but I hope the online booking platform updates its listings to accurately reflect 9-hole vs. 18-hole play to avoid misleading golfers who plan their schedules around a full round.
