  My son was really wanting some mountain biking shoes. So glad we stopped at REI! Brian was so helpful in measuring my son’s feet and giving us advice on the arch. Then he took us over to Rick who helped us to find the best deal on some 510’s that my son has been after! I’ve been to multiple REI’s over the past few years across a few states but this experience stood out to me the most! Customer service was top notch from beginning to end. I hope these guys get the appreciation they deserve.

  I had a really excellent experience at this Rei! I didn’t catch his name, but the guy in the shoe department who’s bilingual & super knowledgeable about trail running was so helpful!! I’m a new trail runner, and he patiently guided me through the shoe I might want for my specific terrain. Really appreciate the excellent customer service!

  Adrian, or “Dr. Adrian” as his name tag said, was amazing. When he first asked if I was an REI member, I immediately got defensive because I hate being sold things. He stayed calm, explained exactly how the membership would save me money on the repair, and he was completely right. What struck me was that he kept trying to help me even though I was being uncool because I assumed it was just some scam to get me to sign up for something I didn’t need. He also charged me only for the work my bike actually needed instead of a full tune-up, which saved me even more. I hadn’t ridden the bike in five years, none of the gears worked, and when I got it back it was flawless. He’s a great mechanic and a genuinely cool guy. I even stood around talking with him for about 10 minutes after dropping the bike off. Highly recommended. I’m glad I now know who to call if my bike ever has a heart attack.

  GORDON THE ASIAN GUY IS THE BEST BIKE PERSON ON EARTH. To be fair, he told me to call him “Gordon the Asian Guy” so I feel safe in typing this. But, I called the bike shop at REI Folsom and told them we leave on vacation the day my bike was supposed to be done. I was prepared to pick the bike up in whatever condition it was in the night before. But Gordon said he’d have it done a day early to accommodate our needs. This was 100% my fault. I dropped the bike off sort of last minute and REI didn’t have to do this but Gordon accommodated our needs. I can’t thank Gordon and REI enough! They were incredibly helpful and understand! Thank you Gordon The Asian Guy and Thank You REI!
