  Great people, great gear , but plan to pay for it 😉 the year end rewards font come close for the price difference from othwr retailers but thats not the reason you go into an REI.

  I haven't received customer service this exceptional in years—if ever. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions and make recommendations. John and Renee made the entire experience outstanding and ensured I left with everything I needed. Thank you both for providing such excellent service. I highly recommend this store!

  I purchased a bicycle here about three weeks ago, and after reflecting on my experience, I felt compelled to leave a review. I ordered a CTY 1.1 bicycle online from REI. An employee called to let me know they had a used model available at 10% off. I was told it was in great condition with only a minor ding and that it was their last XL bike. I decided to purchase the used bike and picked it up. That evening, I barely rode it, but the next morning I discovered that one of the tires was completely shredded. I returned to the store, explained the situation, and they replaced the tire. Unfortunately, this is where the experience became frustrating. The replacement tire didn't match the other tire on the bike, and I was told I would need to pay about $50. At that point, the savings from buying the used bike had essentially disappeared. To make matters more frustrating, one of the bike technicians told me he thought the previous owner had swapped out the original tires. That was disappointing to hear because I had been told the bike was in excellent condition aside from a small dent. Overall, my advice is to carefully inspect any used bike before taking it home. Based on my experience, I personally wouldn't purchase a used bike from the store again. That said, the CTY 1.1 itself is a great bike, and I've really enjoyed riding it.
