Pattie was great! She helped me find exactly what I needed and has a lot of knowledge about the perfect shoe for me. She encouraged me to sign up for the membership but I didn’t know I already was. But it’s honestly a good deal right now! Thank you!

I'm a 30 year REI member and Chico resident. Today was the third time I've visited this REI and third time experiencing terrible customer service. We were looking at camp chairs about 15' in front of register and had a question about how to fold up the one we were interested in. We walked over to registers area where there was not one person in lines. My wife asked one of the guys at there if he could show us how to fold up the chair. He replied irritated " do you want to go find someone to help you?" We replied no we don't want to carry the chairs around the store can you call someone up with the ear your earpiece and microphone he's wearing. He replied that we could carry the chairs back to the bike shop and ask. This young guy was wearing flip flops and a hat on sideways at work. Looked unhappy to be there and that we dare ask him a question. Mind you him and the other register guy are standing there doing nothing with no one to check out. This was the third and last time we will ever patronize this store. How far REI has fallen. Ghost town inside this story every time and now I know why.

Love this store! Great people, great products, great experience. The entire team seems to love what they do, and have always been helpful and friendly whenever I’ve been in. Thanks REI!
