Mauro saved our day! We had a bike issue right as we were starting on the iron horse trail, and he fixed our bike even though they were closing up. We insisted on paying him for his time, and he refused our offer. He said, “I’m just happy you can enjoy your day as a family.” What a blessing. You just earned a customer for life.

This is a great bike store with knowledgeable staff, amazing mechanics and a great selection of products, including bikes!
Growing up in Alamo since 1972, I've seen a couple different incarnations of the "Iron Horse" trail, 2 locations of Safeway, an ice cream parlor where I first played pinball and Space Invaders, a town motel, a Straw Hat Pizza where Defender, Robotron and Asteroids roared with new sights and sounds. A Pizza Hut, World Savings, Yard Birds and Ron's Alamo Shell which sat on the diagonal and actually fixed cars, along with the Exxon Marlon owned where my brother worked.
I bought my first mountain bike from Dennis at Alamo Bicycles/ Sunshine Cyclery circa 1982. It was a Specialized Stumpjumper Sport. 15 gears. 40+ pounds. Best teen decision I made.
Anyway, bike shops have co.e and gone In Alamo for 50+ years. Today we got a new Trek from Scott and the guys at Alamo Trek. Superb, patient sales and service- fair pricing and all the info, advice, trail suggestions, accessories and hospitality one could hope for.
Hats off to the Alamo Trek crew.
You all made our buying experience memorable. Thank you again for providing an incredibly valuable service and resource!
Amazing shop and full of knowledgeable employees. The manager Dan helped me install a rotor on my bike and did a swift and fantastic job. Definitely worth the drive.
