The course was in beautiful shape! It's a testament to a great maintenance team. My group was very impressed by the course. The problem was the staff. We were "reminded" 4 times to keep up with pace of play for being a half of a hole behind. We finished at 4 hours and 15 minutes for our round. My friends 11 year old son was driving the cart and enjoying himself very responsibly, but was told he couldn't drive the cart. Lastly, at the end of our round the cart guy said, "there is a lot of trash in those carts. You guys need to clean that up." I asked him if he gets a lot of tips and he said he gets none. He said he doesn't do it because no one tips. Attitudes were just way off.

The course is in incredible shape , the greens , fairways spectacular. If you haven't played this course the views are stunning, then factor the rolling fairways just stunning. The only negative was the course marshal , I failed to get his name , very unprofessional ! Without going into details, management should be aware of his demeanor, lack of customer service and just awful respect toward your patrons . I was there today for a 10:00 am tee time for a foursome. If you would like to contact me for details I would be happy as well the three others in our group to share details .

I’m not much of a golfer usually the worst of the group going out to enjoy a day of 9 or 18 holes. I’ve found that Aguila Golf Course has beautiful vistas, slopes and greens, moderately difficult to play (for me), 3 lakes, and a wonderful panoramic view of both the Estrella and South Mountain ranges as well as downtown Phoenix. I love the fact that for a public course it is economical yet offer many great amenities found in more expensive venues across the Valley. A full 18 Holes, Golf Carts, Lessons, and Putting Greens. The have a restaurant, The Nest restaurant offering pretty good eats and cocktails. They offer a very well stocked Pro Shop too – Aguila Pro Shop. With any last minute or unthought of needs while on the course like: shoes, clubs, balls, apparel, and many accessories – really nice caps. This well-kept golf course is a pleasure to spend a stint with 9 or 18 holes of enjoyment and some exercise. Highly recommended, economical, beautiful, leisurely and fun! Kudos to the staff for a job well done on behalf of novices, amateurs, professionals and rotten players like me.

Both the 9 hole, par 3 short course and the full championship 18 hole course are part of the best public golf facilities in the Phoenix area! The 9 hole is perfect for juniors, beginners, etc and the 18 hole track is fun, interesting, and challenging while not being too difficult. Throw in a huge driving range that lets you hit off grass on the weekends at no extra charge, and a great staff - highly recommend!
