- SBStudio Botanist3 days ago1.0I have been a loyal REI member for many years, and I very rarely return anything I purchase. However, I was very disappointed by the way I was treated when I came in to return a defective item. The entire return interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unkind. I was very surprised by the attitude I received. Even my return receipt was handed back to me in a manner that felt angry and disrespectful. I do believe folks ought to be treated with kindness and courtesy, whether they are making a purchase or returning an item that did not work as it should. I hope this concern is taken seriously, because this was not the kind of experience I would have expected from REI.

On the plus side...good variety of clothes, shoes & outdoor equipment. To note, they don't put your purchases in bags, so deal with it, or bring in a reusable one. Store was clean & well stocked.
