Opened in 2012 and located just north of Laredo, "The MAX" overlooks the Rio Grande River and has been acclaimed as one of the best Public Golf Courses in Texas. Golfers can enjoy stunning views of the Rio Grande River throughout the course, especially on the four holes that play directly on the waterfront. The course features a great variety of holes, with short and long Par 4s and Par 5s, and four unique Par 3s that range from 138 yards to 210 yards from the tips. The layout even offers up everything from double fairways to a few semi-blind tee shots, adding to the challenge & mystique of this beautifully maintained track.

- GSgerald spencerFeb 24, 20265.0This is a fantastic track. It is labeled as "Municipal", but the quality of this course is much higher than that of a Municipal track. The layout will allow you be as aggressive as you want, but there is serious trouble if you miss. Pace of play was perfect...36 holes in 6 hours. The maintenance of the course was tops. My only complaint is that the deer didn't fix their marks on the greens. The clubhouse and it's amenities were great...a very relaxed atmosphere. The food hit the spot. This is a fun track to play...plenty of opportunities for good and really bad scores on every hole. This is a "must play" course, and we're already planning a return trip. Ya'll need to go play this course...
- DTDarnell ThompsonFeb 11, 20265.0I had the privilege of visiting this magnificent golf course during the Laredo Bird Festival. A group of twelve of us arrived early at 7:00 am. The sun was shining brightly, and we thoroughly enjoyed using the golf carts while birdwatching. We were fortunate to spot over thirty different species, including roadrunners, red-billed pigeons, vermillion flycatchers, gray hawks, killdeers, American pipits, verdins, ladder-backed woodpeckers, and golden-fronted woodpeckers, among others.

Staff is excellent minus cart girl who seems to disappear later in the afternoon and big homie who bums smokes off of you, picks up lost balls and tries to resell to you...... 5/5 stars, would highly recommend! Will most definitely miss MMM and clubhouse staff..
