  I bought the membership and forgot about it. A year later my card was charged $400 for some renewal. I had to cancel my card and get a refund - what a pita. There are better alternatives with salespeople that won’t talk your ear off.

  Wow! Love REI. But when you have someone help you like Steve Cruser. That’s when the majic happens. He was very helpful, patient and extremely knowledgeable about products and places to go. He shared his personal best places. Showed me maps (which I bought). So glad to know there are still paper maps of the whole USA! He climbs hikes and truely represents what you stand for. Adventure! Also I thought he was 62 years old. He’s 82! That’s what the outdoors does for you. It’s the real medicine and fountain of youth! Give him an award or bonus. He’s been there for 30 plus years? Thanks. Very loyal customer! Photo is my father-in-law, legend backpacker who is 82 (looks 62) very fit and still climbs mount Whitney!

  I really liked this place alot it was my go to store form almost all my camping needs, but no longer , ill be taking my business elsewhere or at least to another location Went to this location with my brother, we picked out a shoe, waited for about 15 minutes then the employee took his shoe away to show it to another customer, and put it back on the shelf. We came back another day and actually received good help.
