I usually come here often and I enjoy my visit. Today as I was in the shoe department I was approached by someone whom I was not even able to get their name, he was wearing white beanie . As I was trying on a shoe on display he approached me and said “do you need a shoe size? I said “No I’m fine thank you” because I was just about to try them on. He said ok because those shoes look really small and if when someone else comes wanting those shoes they’re going to be ruined because you tried them on. His approach was very hostile and very disrespectful. I kept calm and said okay would you please get me shoe from the back instead, he brought it out to me and then while dropping it off to me he said those run small so I suggest to size up and walked off. I understand a shoe can run small or big. I feel like his approach definitely could’ve been better and he could’ve been more respectful without the need to raise his voice. He did not check back. I left immediately because I felt very uncomfortable and upset. I understand people have bad days but he needs to work better on his approach and attitude. This happened on feb 22 at 5:15pm

The bike shop is amazing. The workers there are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The prices for fixing things is very reasonable and inexpensive compared to other places. The only place I go to when I'm having bike problems.

I like R.E.I. But it's prices are higher than I Prefer. I had a membership with them, years ago. But have allowed it to lapse. They have a huge inventory from A to Z. In camping, hiking, walking, etc it's worth the visit, but you have to have deep pockets.

Good selection of gear, which is the only reason for 2 stars. I'm not a member, and have looked for specialty items twice at REI in my entire life because they were not available in store anywhere else. The pressure by the cashiers to join the co-op is ridiculous. A polite "no, thanks" is taken as "I'll disregard your wishes and repeat the same information in hopes I push you into a sale." If you reward employees' aggression to the point they're not listening to customers, you're doing it wrong. It has the opposite effect on me ever wanting to visit this location or any REI again. I'll shop directly with the manufacturers of the specialty products moving forward.
