  Grant has been a major influence in improving my game over the last year. He's methodical, practical and his teaching approach has helped me shave strokes off of my game. I highly recommend Grant and Golftec to anyone who is really serious about upping their golf game!

  Grant has been a fantastic coach. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and explains things in a way that’s easy to understand and apply on the course. His approach is relaxed and supportive, which makes every lesson comfortable and productive. Since working with him at GOLFTEC, my consistency has improved and I’ve already shaved several strokes off my game. If you’re looking for clear guidance and a coach who knows how to help you actually get better, I highly recommend Grant.

  I had taken golf lessons from different coaches from different places in the past but with different results. Even though I was able to make progress, it's somewhat hit or miss. With Coach Grant Richards at North Austin Golftec location, I can say that I am able to make some consistent progress since I resumed my lessons with him in late 2025. I appreciate his coaching style by not only explaining what's the "right" form I should follow but more importantly, what I didn't do and how to make corrections. He is very skillful at using the technologies and tools provided by Golftec which allows me to review the lesson videos afterwards. Besides I enjoy the conversations during the lesson which Coach Grant always provides his insight for my questions without any reservation. I highly recommend Coach Grant, especially if you are new to Golftec.

  I've been working with Grant at Golftec North Auston(of Steck) for the last 5 months. I am a visual learner and thought Ive got to look into Golftec. I went with 16 lessons plan and I'm currently 3/4 of the way through. Every lesson including today has been terrific...I mean, just plain awesome!!! I'm in my late 50's and have been playing for 45 years. Never any real consistency despite a lot of effort and plemty of other swing coaches. On our first consultation, Grant made me feel like I could radically change my swing, so I agreed to tear it down and go with the program, in which I have had an epiphany every time we do a lesson. Trusting the process and improving my skills all winter long. I'm excited to continue to take my game to a whole new level. No BS, best decision I ever made was to spend the money on Grant and Golftec...and to think I was going to spend it on new clubs that I couldnt hit. Now I cant wait to get fitted for club KNOWING I will get the most out of the investment. If there were 10 Stars to give, I'd give them.   I’ve been taking lessons here with Coach Chris Proft for the last year. It’s helped me massively with both my understanding and technique as I continued to chip away and slowly improve at all the various skills you need to build to put together some consistent golf. Chris is an awesome coach! He comes with abundant positivity to every session, he’s hyper knowledgeable and a really skilled experienced player in his own right. He’s also very patient when I get frustrated and want to start tossing clubs at the wall haha. The rest of the coaches are also really friendly and create a good vibe at the location. Derek who leads the location, does a great job of keeping the students and coaches in a place where they can focus on the skills but enjoy themselves while doing it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to start golfing or skill up, also quite reasonable pricing for the value and one on one instruction time available.
