The ski instructors and the entire lesson group are amazing—friendly, helpful, and great with all ages. And after a day on the slopes, Dark Horse is probably my favorite spot to grab a bite. - RBrobert bighiaMar 24, 20265.0Highly recommend private ski lessons at Terry Peak Ski Area—especially for young kids and first-time skiers! We signed our kids up for private lessons and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Our youngest (3) was paired with Will—an absolute saint. He was incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring, working at her pace and helping her build confidence by the end of the lesson. Our oldest (5) had Sandy, who was also fantastic. She took the time to understand her needs, build her confidence, and keep her focused—even when her first time on the slopes felt a little overwhelming. The facility was clean, organized, and very family-friendly. Even with end-of-season crowds, everything ran smoothly. Every staff member we encountered—from the front desk to rentals, gift shop, and bar—was friendly and welcoming. Perfect place for beginner skiers and families—we will definitely be back!
