- BTBob Thomas5 days ago5.0I have been taking lessons from Derek at this location for 5 months now. Derek is very knowledgeable about the golf swing and a great communicator when it comes to explaining the movements of the swing. I have been coming over the top for 40+ years and through Derek's teaching and lots of practice I now have a swing path that comes from the inside. I still have lots of work to do but I know that Derek will be with me every step of the way and will have the answers I need to get better. Derek is not looking for a quick fix, he wants to build your swing on a solid foundation which will benefit you for years to come. I would encourage you to give Derek a try if you are willing to work hard on your game and get better. I have been very pleased with my experience with him. Try it, you won't be disappointed!!

When i first came for my swing evaluation i was a 20+ handicap and right now im at a 3 handicap thanks to Derek. The thing i have noticed is how well he connects with people and how well to explain the swing to each individual. He always has a positive attitude for every lesson knowing hes gonna make me and my golf game 5% better each time. Before every lesson he already knows what we need to work on to get the maximum potential out of my swing. I highly recommend Derek to anyone who is brand new or is a low handicapper who still has room for improvement.

The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
