  I bought my daughter’s bikes from Walmart and they were a challenge for me to install and have the chain lineup correctly and the brake pads lineup correctly. I brought my bike into Lakeside bicycles the day after Christmas and the guy in the repair shop helped me. He had many other bikes ahead of mine and customers stopping in constantly, but understood that my girls got bicycles for Christmas and weren’t able to ride them. He set them all up and they ran smoothly. He did a safety check and I felt very comfortable with the service and his expertise. Prices were very reasonable, and I so greatly appreciated his understanding of the situation. I would recommend Lakeside bicycles for any repairs you have they are courteous and professional.

  Very unhelpful staff, went in with a popped tube to get a new one, accidentally popped the brand new tube I just bought, and no one did anything to help the situation. I was offered a complementary patch kit as amends but after already spending $45 on products I could purchase elsewhere for significantly cheaper, it felt a mockery more than a gift. Earlier that day I called in to ensure they had the correct tube sizing for my popped tube and tire ensuring the clerk over the phone that I would return later in the day to visit. Upon arrival and after purchasing the correct products, I began to replace my tire when from behind me I overheard store associates discussing my predicament behind my back which made me feel uncomfortable in the establishment. Being a novice bike mechanic, I accidently punctured my tire as I was rushing to get the tire on. After speaking with an associate about my situation, he offered I purchase another tube. Rather than emotionally supporting me in this distressing situation, he offered me a patch kit as a gift which was a kind gesture but was completely out of context as I was clearly struggling with the reality of piercing 2 tubes. What I would have appreciated out of this situation was a more proactive interaction from the store associates. After witnessing my struggle installing the newly purchased tube, I would have appreciated a little more empathy from the associates for the stressful day I was having.

  When our son traveled to the UK, Lakeside Bicycles found the most compact carton such that the airline accepted the bike as a second piece of luggage rather than charging for oversized baggage. The bike arrived safe and sound. Lakeside Bicycles’ staff were friendly and professional.

  I cannot recommend Lakeside Bicycles enough. All of the sales staff are extremely friendly and helpful and are all very passionate and knowledgeable about bikes. Also the mechanics are very good at what they do and deliver great services in a very timely manner. The staff are also not pushy at all and you can tell that they genuinely want to help folks with bikes. I would also say that if you are having any bike fit issues, or are even somewhat serious about biking a bike fitting from Zak is a must. Zak knows exactly what he is doing when it comes to fittings and helped me with every single one of my issues that I was having on the bike. I am now faster and more comfortable than I have ever been and I owe it largely to the excellent bike fitting I received!
