Central Oregon Diving Is Your One Stop Shop For Certification, Dive Equipment, Travel, And Scuba Adventures. We Train And Help You Explore The Vast Beauties Of The Underwater World!
BEWARE- BEWARE... this dive shop does a terrible job maintaining customer equipment. Three times we had issues with our O rings not put in correctly to our regulators. Several leaks. My sons dive computer went dead after we arrived and checked it the night before our families two-tank dive. We went to a Pati dive shop in Cozumel, a new battery was installed, and it worked perfect along with 2 of the O rings were bad on two separate regulators. The dive shop asked if we wanted to check all our equipment before we went on the night dive since we missed out on the afternoon dive. We absolutely had all equipment rechecked $... after paying Central Oregon Dive $$ for a bad job. This dive shop has gone downhill in the last few years. Just in Roatan I heard 3 terrible experiences and the second one left me thinking ... WHY IS THIS DIVE SHOP STILL OPEN, safety is not their 1st priority! What I have learned and experienced is unorganized and not safe. We started going to Salem Dive the last 3 years ... a bit of a drive but our equipment for 2 adults and 3 teens WE TRUST! Family is important to us and my child's life is even more so. Take deep caution when using Central Oregon Dive.

I have really enjoyed working with the team at Central Oregon Diving. I obtained my open water certification on May 10th & 11th. My instructors Dustin and Ben were very helpful, informative, patient and friendly. I have been diving almost weekly in preparation for my advanced open water certification on July 19th & 20th. Every time I have been to the shop, which has been very frequently, Jonathan and Sara have been so nice and have helped me with all of my gear. Also coordinating dives with other local divers. I am extremely thankful for all of the help and continued support from the shop. Thanks so much to Central Oregon Diving!

I booked a trip to Roatan Honduras with the former owner of Central Oregon Dive Shop, Walt Bolton. I needed a refresher course because it had been 20 years since my last dive. Jason, who works there and Sarah the owner both said I needed to take the entire PADI course over again (there is no such rule). Neither Jason or Sarah evaluated my knowledge base or skill set. They just took one look at me and said you need to start again at the beginning. I paid for the e-learning and the confined water dives in Oregon (I was told in Honduras Central Oregon Dive overcharged) and an additional $300 to do the open water certification dives while here. This created mass confusion with the dive shop here because they didn’t understand why a certified diver was doing the open water certification classes. Because I had to spend the first 4 dives doing skills for an additional certification I missed out in the deep dive done by my group, which could have gone towards my advanced diver certification. Walt, and my instructors in Roatan said that what Central Oregon Dive was overkill and that at least I should have been given a skills assessment. If you are looking for a dive trip and you have had a lapse in diving, go somewhere else. What I have learned is that PADI guidelines are left up to the judgement of the instructor/ shop. Why patron a place that makes a snap judgement based on your physical appearance without testing your knowledge or skill. Find an instructor and an outfit that will consider the whole person, sit down and talk with you, tell you your options and partner with you. Central Oregon Dive is not that shop. Now when I return stateside I will have to merge my
Accounts because I have two certificates and two numbers- just a lot of hassle, money, and stress on my vacation. Next time I am I plan to work with a more knowledgeable shop.

Absolutely fantastic dive shop. Needed help finding the right supplies to fix a popped seam in my wetsuit. Not only did they reply in minutes, they sent pics of the options available. Super friendly. Awesome place. Couldn't recommend more.
