- RFrichard fallowsSep 11, 20251.0Well, I went in for a one hour lesson which cost me $95 and I felt like I needed another lesson. I called they booked another lesson. There was no mention of the cost. I assumed it would be less because it was only a half an hour turned out they want double the amount for half an hour without any indication that this was gonna happen. What a rip off Anyway I’ll never go back there if anything the guy messed my swing up completely.
- PGPaul GuibordJul 13, 20234.0I recently took 5 lessons + a golf fitting at GOLFTEC in Kanata with Colin Pitchers and although I wasn’t happy initially with my progress, Colin was very patient with me and we found a middle ground that suited both of us in the end. I think the key to being successful with this program is to communicate your expectations up front and find out exactly what you’re getting in your lessons and what you may not get even after 10-20 lessons. I’m not giving 5 stars as I believe GOLFTEC could do a few things better like setting the expectations up front as well and checking in often and early on what the student may be struggling with. I would say as well that the club fitting needs to come after 5 lessons minimum and maybe more if you’re not progressing as fast as you may not see a noticeable difference if you’re rebuilding your swing! The video feedback you get after every lesson is vital to your improvement and GOLFTEC allows you to save these to your local drive on your device to review long after your lessons end which I was impressed with. Finally, I will say that you need to ask your coach whether it’s Colin or someone else HOW to practice while on the range and practice and play once per week for maximum benefit to compliment your lessons. You also need to communicate early in your training by email if something isn’t working or you have questions and Colin responds quite quickly I found. I didn’t do this initially and my frustrations built up! Communicate early and often and you will maximize your lessons. I initially had 10 lessons booked and left after 5 but Colin was very flexible, refunded my unused lessons and welcomed me back anytime which I was very impressed with! Kudos to GOLFTEC and Colin Pitchers for moulding the program to fit the individual and being flexible and fair once I voiced my concerns. I have improved my game in a short time.

I really enjoyed the data driven approach and multi-step approach; it takes a lot of practice to get results, but well worth it. Scott was an amazing coach with a sincere interest in my progression, I know I'll keep going back to him for future refinements and corrections.

The Swing Evaluation gives both Coach and student a clear visual and numerical baseline for both indicating where improvement is necessary and measuring the improvement. We highly recommend the Swing Evaluation for every student, from beginner to competitive player. It allows us to understand your current swing and goals and helps determine the right lesson plan for you.
Are your lessons expensive?
Prices vary by the lesson plan, features included, and region, but they are highly competitive with teaching professionals in each area. However, each GOLFTEC Student will start with a Swing Evaluation which is $150.
Do you teach beginners?
We love teaching golfers who are just picking up the sport! Our coaches understand the unique needs of beginners and know how to make their sessions comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I take lessons at any location?
Absolutely! Your Coach will be able to help you find another Center and Coach. You can also use any GOLFTEC location when you are traveling.
Can I take lessons outdoors?
On-course instruction on specific shots and course management are a great complement to in-bay swing lessons and are offered at most locations.
Will you change my swing?
Changes to your swing may be necessary given your specific golfing problems and goals. We begin with your current swing and work on adjustments to make it more effective and productive.
Does GOLFTEC sell clubs?
Yes. We will order clubs based on your TECFIT club fitting or your specifications if you choose not to have a fitting. With our large buying power and relationships with leading manufacturers, we can sell custom clubs for the same price that you would pay for off-the-rack clubs at many retailers.
