REI can't be beat! They've got everything. If you're in a rush and you need a carabiner, a bike pump, a flint stick to start a fire, and some cargo pants that can turn into shorts there's really only one place to go.

Raymond "helped" me at in-store pick-up on New Years Day. He needs an attitude check and an anger management session. After being condescending and rude, he retrieved my order only to THROW the shoebox down on table. Check the cameras. Seriously one of the worst customer service experiences in my entire life living in New York City.

I tried shopping for a substantial men's winter coat. Throughout the men's section were women's coat intermingled at random. The women's section had a lot of substantial coats, but the men's section only had those flimsy shells. Also, there were no smalls or extra smalls - only larger coats were available. It was a disorganized, unpleasant mess.

The employee is very rude. I was just navigating around the store and walking down the stairs, and as I was walking to the bottom floor, a lady came over to me and asked if she could help me. I looked around and saw the sign that said "employees only," which I know was my fault, so l apologized and walked away. The moment I turned away, she rolled her eyes and said "eye sucks," which totally ruined my day.

Had a terrible experience ordering to pick up in store at REI SoHo. The website said the item was in stock, I ordered to pick up in store, and paid online. They said it would be ready the next day sometime after 11 am, and that they would specifically send me a new email to notify me when the item was ready. Not only did they never email me, but once I did some digging/checked my order number in their online system, I discovered my order was canceled, and no one notified me. Even worse, the website still says the exact product and size are still in stock at the SoHo location, and it allows one to order it again. I tried calling them multiple times during store hours, and specifically pressed the button to speak to a store representative, but the hold system was a mess. The line just rang forever with no hold music and I waited until the ringing drove me insane. Please don’t say the product is available if it is not. I still don’t even know if it is available or not because no one has told me anything. REI, do better.
