Average bowling experience (with neon arcade lights) but don’t think it’s warranted by the $130 price tag for 2

I dunno man, I’ve been dropping between $40-100 a week here for months now plus a league through Volo (that doesn’t even count the money I spend I spend at their Times Square location. Which is to say at the least, I like bowling and I’ll put up with a lot to do be able to do it. The servers are fantastic when you can find one, the lanes are mediocre (you’ll never bowl consistently because the lane maintenance is questionable at best), there are no leagues except through outside organizations, the management seems like they’d rather kill themselves than be there and tonight I went and the security guard was so rude I just walked out—which is WILD because I was already planning to also come Sunday so that’s an easy $100 off me. Requiring an ID to BOWL and not being able to articulate a why is insane and only speaks to how poor the management here is. A simple “it’s 21 and over after 10pm” would’ve been perfectly reasonable. Also, do yourself a favor and don’t order the food. Between undercooked pizza, generally overly oily and salty food, and food poisoning, I promise it’s not worth it. Eat before. There’s a great slice shop on 23rd/8th that has never once given me a barely defrosted frozen pizza or food poisoning. Arcade games are too expensive to really be worth it, even as a way to kill time, even half off. The unlimited option might be worth it? But if that’s your main draw, maybe just go to Dave and Busters. Bowlero can’t seem to decide if they want this to be an arcade, a club, a bowling alley or a restaurant, and in the process they end up being a D+ student in every category. This is especially unfortunate because Bowlero is quickly becoming a monopoly in bowling, and they’re going to end up being the downfall of the game in this country.

This could be classified as a fairly formulaic bowling alley/Arcade. And while the formula will look and feel familiar if you've ever been to one, the devil is in the details, and on my most recent visit Lucky Strike got the details right. Simple shoe rental: check. Attentiveness staff, above average food/beverage, and quick service: check. Bowling and arcade games all working without issue: check. Bathrooms were clean: check. Slight knock for the lanes being pretty meh - dont expect to get quality practice for your league here if you are a serious player. But for a fun time with your kids and some friends, this place will do just fine.
