Booked a weekend in September and unfortunately had to cancel. The cancellation policy states a full refund as long as it’s 2 days before. Did not receive a refund. Reached out by phone and email and have not received a response.

Lake George Escape Campground is a fantastic place to stay! With around 600 sites, there’s something for everyone—50 and 30 amp hookups, full hookup sites, water/electric only, and even cabins and cottages. Some sites are pull-through, but most are back-in. The campground has a huge camp store, arcade, s’mores area with a big screen, mini golf, pool, playground, outdoor workout area and plenty of ponds and grassy areas to enjoy. I’m sure I’m even missing a few things! Bathrooms and showers are available (a little outdated with a very “camping feel,” spiders included), but they do the job. The laundry facilities were great—card or app-operated, which was so convenient. The campground is quiet, and we loved the gated entry/exit with a bar gate for added security. Also, the restaurant on the campground is fantastic- burgers, pizza, drinks! Starlink is tricky here due to heavy tree cover, but there are a few selective spots where it works if needed. The campground also offers tons of activities, and the Lake George area has so much to explore. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

4 star only because the ac in our primary bedroom was broken. They placed a floor unit in our room which one, didnt allow for our window to lock, and two had to be emptied both nights in the middle of the night which was extremely aggravating as no one explained this to us. Waking up each night sweating on vacation was not ideal. For nearly 400.00 a night and our only get a way this summer-this was unacceptable. Everything else was perfect, clean and dog friendly. Only issue was the AC issue.

Don’t let the boujee photos fool you! This campground must delete most of the bad reviews. I would never come back! First of all, you have to book online and you can’t choose your site. I paid for a “premium spot” meaning it’s near the river or pool- they assigned me near the baseball field… premium spot? No. I then called to add my parents camper and asked if there was 2 sites together. You end up talking to a representative from thousand trails who has no idea the layout of the campground. When we arrived the sites were side by side but had a huge patch of poison ivy between them. And the sites were overall cramped and overgrown. And this is the first campground I’ve ever had to PAY for WiFi- seriously? You charge $140 per night and have to pay for WiFi on top of it. Oh and the best part- you can’t call the office, they make you text them. This place is a crowded and crappy with teenagers speeding around on golf carts all day. They have signs and warning that kids can’t be underage driving them around, but there is no one there to enforce it. My kids couldn’t even ride their bikes because of the crazy golf carts all over the roads. The weekend we stayed, there was a golf cart parade which sounds nice in theory. But they had someone in the parade blaring ( and I mean blaring) an emergency sirens for over 2 hours. It was so loud and obnoxious, it made your head spin. It could be heard inside the camper. We messaged the office- no answer. My mom called and finally got someone and they just said “sorry you feel that way.” This place is a joke. Definitely not worth what we paid. Photo below is the lovely poison ivy patch.
