  We found a great deal online and took the opportunity to spend a couple nights in Laughlin for the first time. The pool was never busy during our stay but absolutely pleasant. Great view of the river lots of chairs available. Hot tub is warm. Pool is cool, but not freezing cold. Only downside out there was that the bar was never open, but they do have a phone number you can call for cocktail service. The staff at the front desk and especially the security, huge shout out to them. I lost an earring and a ring as we were packing and heading up to the parking garage and I didn’t realize until after we had left. The security was able to get my earring back to me! The restaurants were less than desirable. But overall, the location is great. You can catch the water taxi to any of the other casinos. The rooms were in line with what you would expect from an older hotel. But the sheets were clean. The beds were fresh. I only wish the pillows were better. They were pretty grumpy. All in all it was a nice mini getaway not far from Vegas and I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Laughlin.

  The one thing I don’t like check in is at 4pm we got to the pool they told us the slide is closed and pool right after. How does that make sense. Very disappointed the reason we stayed there was for that reason. Check out is at 11am and pool opens at 10am Thats does not give us time to enjoy the pool at all. Highly disappointed .

  I recently stayed at the Golden Nugget Laughlin, and it was hands-down the highlight of my trip. If you’re looking for a spot that feels more like a boutique tropical resort than a massive, impersonal casino, this is it. The Rooms We stayed in a Riverview King Room, and the view of the Colorado River at sunrise was absolutely worth the upgrade. • The Vibe: The room felt fresh, clean, and surprisingly quiet. • Amenities: I loved having a Keurig and a refrigerator in the room—small touches that make a huge difference. • Comfort: The bed was incredibly plush. After a long day out, it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The Experience & Amenities The layout here is much more manageable than the giant resorts next door. Everything is just a short walk away. • Dining: We had dinner at Saltgrass Steak House, and the steak was cooked to absolute perfection. For breakfast, Duet Coffee & Wine became our daily go-to for a quick latte and pastry. • The Casino: The gaming floor has a high-energy, "old Vegas" glamour but with modern machines. It wasn't overly smoky, which I really appreciated. The Service What really stood out was the staff. From the valet to the front desk, everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. They even gave us some great tips on where to catch the best river taxi views! Final Verdict: If you want a clean, stylish, and high-energy stay right on the water without the chaotic crowds of the bigger hotels, the Golden Nugget is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back!

  You have to walk through the smoky casino to get to any of the restaurants. The Expedia website showed the room I purchased to have wood floors (in the pic), so I paid extra for that room, but the hotel said Expedia does not get any of the wood floor (remodeled) rooms. So I had to go through a long process to change my reservation and fix that. If you are in your room and call the front desk they never answer. The bathroom floor was not properly cleaned.

  I booked a room on hotels.com because I saw it was a pet friendly hotel. I had no idea that switching to a pet room would almost TRIPLE the price!!! I was just trying to give my kids the small spring break getaway I thought I could afford, it took up most of our spending money just so we could bring our pup along. Not to mention, two of the three times I had to call about switching to a pet friendly room, they were extremely rude. The first girl absolutely told me, after I said I'd have to call back from being flabbergasted at the price, that they had limited rooms and if we didn't get one, we COULDN'T stay there. I'm mad I didn't choose a different hotel, I'm sure this is my first and LAST stay here unfortunately. Seems like it could have been a pretty nice stay, too. Be more transparent on your prices for pet rooms, please. I couldn't even get a balcony one, which is difficult with a dog. But I was already spending too much as it is.
