We were traveling through Laughlin with my fiancé, son, and father and stayed at the Golden Nugget. We were nothing short of impressed by the friendly staff, amazing hospitality, and outstanding customer care from everyone at this location.
We especially want to give a shout-out to Anthony, our amazing bartender. We stopped in for a drink before bed and were so grateful for the hospitality, great conversation, and laughs he shared with us. Anthony is truly a valuable asset to this hotel and casino.
You can tell when someone genuinely enjoys their career and loves working with people, and that’s exactly the experience Anthony gave us. He was personable, friendly, and even made a show out of every drink he prepared. He shared information about the liquors he was using and made sure every guest at the bar was helped quickly and with a smile.
Honestly, if I had met him before booking my wedding in Vegas, I might have had the wedding in Laughlin just so my family and friends could experience the same kind of hospitality at Anthony’s bar!
Thank you, Golden Nugget Laughlin. And a special thank you to Anthony and Marissa for being so kind and awesome.

Too much construction going on inside and outside. Rooms were dirty. The nice reef bar that looks out over the river was closed for remodeling. Cocktail staff was super thin on service.
The grass outside near the court yard was dead!
I think the Riverside has this place beat 100%!

This is the first time I brought my two small dogs. I put them in the room, and kennel them the entire time. We were there for three days. We were given a room with a patio, which was nice, so I could take the pups out whenever I needed them to use the restroom. You think, however, that if you have access to a patio, that doggy bags would be provided since there is a place for doggy bags and a garbage right next to where the doggy bags are stored. In addition, not all of the Dog owners were respectful and picked up the waste from their dogs, so every day the same dirt was never picked up. I get five stars for the restaurants that we went to on site, they were both really good. The casino itself was a typical casino, type machines, however, this time while we were there, they were doing a system update which you could not use the coupon that came out from a machine and used it in another machine without going to the cashier first to cash the coupon and putting the money into a new machine, which made it a hassle. The parking was a hassle, I have a three-quarter ton truck, which is not very easy to park. Valet parking spots were right in front of the casino, I mean directly in front where people were walking, which I would never want to park my vehicle there. The hotel room was a typical hotel room. The air conditioning is a big system that sits on the floor – wall and blows air. Definitely needs an upgrade. Before we got there, I asked for early check-in and I guess early check-in is 3 o’clock versus 4 o’clock, which was not worth my $50 extra. I don’t think I will be going back to this property when traveling back to Laughlin. There’s too many other locations to try.

Thought I'd check out Laughlin instead of Vegas. Big Mistake. If you aren't 60+ you've got no business here. I realize that now. So to be fair its as much the city as it is this Casino. But this casino is on life support. I didn't have high expectations but since they have casinos all over I figured it'd be decent enough.
The celings are like 7 feet high in the main casino. Feels like I'm in someones basement. The internet was terrible everywhere. The restaurants closed by 8pm. My room window looked directly at all the other room windows, so if you open your curtian at all you are just on display like a zoo. Not even a sheer curtain or anything to offer a middle ground. Blackout curtains or staring at everyone else. The riverwalk basically doesn't exist. Walk 2 mins and you run into a dead end from an old casino that closed and is now apparently a giant dead zone. The pillows... never seen pillows like these. Like half sized pillows. And on top of all this everything in the entire place is just old. I checked out early. I will say though, it's cheap, so I don't if you wan't to gamble on it being acceptable enough, you won't be out a lot.

Get prepared for encountering unnecessarily rude service and the worst attitude by a couple female front desk staff if you book online via the online travel agencies (Expedia, Agoda, Hotels.com, etc) to stay - even if this hotel themselves sell their rooms online via the 3rd party.
The lady front desk staff will express to your face how much she hates the guests who did not book via their own websites with higher rates but booked their rooms via the 3rd parties online travel agencies at better rates just like so many customers in a modern society -even if that it is not her job or this hotel is not her personal property.
I travel a lot and like the competiveness of the price as well as the convinience of booking online at google like many other people nowadays, but I have never experienced any rude situation for the reason that we booked online -especially not from Golden Nugget in Las Vegas location as well as different well reputated hotels in Laughlin.
If this front desk lady hates so much the guests who booked online at google 3rd party at better rates and would give her attitude and a sarcastic tone throughout the conversation, she may suggest their hotel marketing team thay she does not want to sell their rooms online via the 3rd party. But well I know that this is not even her hotel.
I escalated this concerned experience to her supervisor. I will update later.
