  I had the absolute best experience with Greg, Josh, and another REI employee at this store recently. I was looking for a snowboard and found it at their location, and they went out of their way to help me purchase it. I couldn’t be happier with their proactive customer service and genuine willingness to help me get exactly what I needed. This level of commitment to the customer is rare these days, and it was truly refreshing to experience.

  Overall good selection of outdoor gear and apparel, but if narrow down specific product, you would not find selection in that product. Definitely majority of the items are overpriced.

  I visited this REI today with my partner to purchase several items, including bike accessories, gloves, down soap, and clothing. Within just a few minutes of entering the store, we were made extremely uncomfortable by the behavior of one of the staff members. The first associate who approached us was respectful and maintained an appropriate distance. However, the next associate (an older woman with grey hair) followed us at a distance of only about 2–3 feet for nearly the entire time we were in the store. As someone who has worked in high-end retail for many years, I fully understand the importance of loss prevention practices, but this level of proximity to customers is completely inappropriate. I could not even try on a pair of gloves without her standing directly beside me. Because of this experience, my partner and I decided to leave the store without purchasing most of the items we had planned to buy. I have shopped at many REI locations and have never encountered treatment like this.

  I’ve been an REI member and have been a frequent costumer for multiple years. Today, I was rudely lectured by a woman at the register named Kirti when trying to make a return. REI’s return policy states that members have 1 year to return an item if they are not 100% satisfied. I bought a bag earlier this year that I used once and decided was not functional and I was not satisfied with after trying it out. I explained this to her and she then proceeded to condescendingly lecture about how I should’ve returned it earlier and that she was making an exception for me. This has only been my 2nd or 3rd return to an REI ever and I did not feel like her long winded and condescending approach was warranted. The return met the criteria listed on REI’s website and there was absolutely no need to be talked down to in the way that I was. She wouldn’t stop going on and on about capitalism and how people like us contribute to abusing systems like theirs. This comes as a huge surprise and disappointment, especially as a long-term member who has never had issues with any REI workers. It was also embarrassing as other customers were around listening to her incredibly rude rant over a small return.
