This bowling alley was huge, very clean, and had a lot of great entertainment options, like over 40 lanes, a central bar, food options, and a really good arcade. The music selection was good, and they had the music videos playing. It was a fun, classic bowling vibe with a nice retro, neon aesthetic. The staff was really helpful and you didn't even have to give up a shoe to get your bowling shoes (which I always thought was strange). Hence the 2 stars for the facility and over all vibe. However, I knocked off a star because I didn't realize that the pins are on strings, and it definitely interferes with the way pins would naturally fall in a normal bowling alley. So, if you just want to bowl for a fun activity with the kids, this is fine, but if you are competitive in any way, you won't get the same effect as free standing pins. It also makes the game go by quicker, because the machine doesn't have to reset pins. I look at this as a net negative, because you aren't getting the same amount of "entertainment time", if you are looking, for example, to entertain the fam for a few hours. (Three games for us took about an hour and a half, so literally less entertainment time than going to see a movie. Add to that the very high cost ($165 for a family of 4 to bowl 3 games) and I knocked off another star. The final star, though, came off for the mixed drink I ordered (a large Boozy Blue Long Island, a signature drink on the menu, which conveniently omits drink prices, by the way) which, I swear, was basically sprite with blue curaçao in it. Certainly the antithesis of "boozy"! It was so light, I would have let my kids drink it. A truly imperceivable amount of alcohol, which was a total rip-off for the (mystery) price. When I approached the bartender, blue sprite in hand, and asked for a shot of tequila, she asked me what kind, and my response was "Whatever, just give me something basic." She proceeded to pour a $15 shot of Casamigos, which I dumped right into my mixed drink! She clearly missed the shade that I was very dissatisfied with my drink order, and did not offer to fix it. I was seriously contemplating writing "Don't water down the cocktails, then upsell the shots" in the tip line when I closed my tab, that's how annoyed I was. It was the final moment that turned me off to the place, as I'd already spent $200 for a simple 90 min. afternoon bowling with my kids. I think if you don't care about the actual sport of bowling, don't care about a sticking to a realistic middle-class budget, and don't care if you overpay for weak mixed drinks and shady bar service, this spot is fine. As for me, I think I'll stick to my local lanes next time.
