  This store seems to have a policy to deny all returns for defects. Brought in a pair of shoes, the sole was coming off. They've had about a month of use and was told that that's normal. Wear and tear that after 30 days sometimes a sole can just come off and my return was denied. Not sure if this is company-wide as I've had better experiences in other stores, but I will never go to this Bedford store again.

  Would not allow me to exchange my brand new item with a receipt! Complained to the district manager and the corporate office and no reply! Beware

  My brother gave my son a bike it's a drt 2.2 .I know nothing about this sort of thing,so I came to the experts . Very polite ho est and respectful both gentleman.sat i can pick up the bike with a new tire and he will be back on the road . Thanks REI

  I have a pretty small sample size but it went quite well. One lady helped me with shoes and she was pretty great. It was crazy to me how good of a job she did even though she was doing the same thing for like five people. The next lady I spoke to about rain jackets had quite a lot to say in great detail, which is generally not my experience when I ask a question. At $30 for a lifetime membership, it seems like a no-brainer. I hope my future experiences as good as my first. The times that have gone to the location down in Redding, it didn't go nearly as well.

  I’ve been a coop member of REI since 1990 and through the course of the year spend thousands at their store simply because I prefer to support local rather than buy online , so I’ve never had issue with paying the inflated prices at my local REI , today that ends Went to purchase 2 new backpacks and two pairs of boots and some add ons for the upcoming summer season with my recently received member dividen of $500 (to show how much I spend in that store) After a unwelcome encounter with a rude 20 something year old employee named Trevor who told me he was the store manager made me so unwelcome that not only did I leave the store , but after 30 plus years as a customer will never go back Trevor , way to go!! loosing a 30 plus year customer for your already struggling retail business. I’m sure corporate in Seattle is going to be proud of your bizarre attitude that reflects the other reviews that backs mine up about the horrible attitudes of the employees there at the Bedford store Just got home from EMS where they were friendly , helpful , cheaper and happy to take the $1300 I spent
