Seem's like a decent facility because it feels new; however, from the instant we had major difficulties with the bowling. From pins not resetting properly, to eventually a pin breaking from the string that holds them. This is not a traditional bowling alley, it is a very different system that uses strings to reset the pins which certainly feels to impact normal bowling physics. I believe the setup is a more ideal design for kids. Employees seemed helpful though generally unknowledgeable but that could simply be because they are a new establishment.
The truly unfortunate part was that even after having our lane break we were told they had no other lanes and simply could not offer a refund because their "system would not allow it". Traditionally businesses operate on a simple transactional exchange. That is, you pay money and receive a good or service in return, if you do not receive said item, they return said money. This place apparently operates within their own definition of business which I personally don't believe is morally correct but I will allow you to make your own decisions regarding that.

My friend and I stopped by tonight to eat and after being seated, no one ever came to take our order. We had been there a while and so we agreed we’d set a timer for 5 minutes and leave if no one checked on us. We were seated close to the hostess. Anyway, we left. Giving two stars because the atmosphere is great and the food at other tables did look really good. Probably just a bad night. I will try again sometime and probably upgrade this review.

Had high hopes for the place. Went with a visiting friend from outta town and waited 45 minutes to get a lane. The pin resetting machine broke before we finished the first game. They told us they didn't have any other lanes available and offered free game cards. Given we had already wasted time and the cards were useless for our out of town friend we asked for a refund instead, so we could just get back to our evening. We were told their system could not issue refunds which-- I'm not sure I believe, but is insane if true. The manager we spoke to left without any real resolution, so we decided to bail.
I really wanted to like this spot. The VR Godzilla is kinda dope. But being unable to issue refunds is absolutely not acceptable.

Came here with my family for Veterans Day lunch. Our server Jessica was great. Got our food and drinks as fast as she could despite how busy it was in a positive manner. However, while she and 2 other servers were running around, literally running, on they’re extremely busy floor, 2-3 individuals I can only assume to be managers were standing around, talking, laughing, doing everything they shouldn’t doing to help their staff. Do better, your establishment wouldn’t run without your staff. It’s embarrassing and I will not be returning, I hope their staff finds better employment.
It’s a 2.5, but not enough good to push it to a 3, sadly. The hubs and I were scouting this shiny new venue we'd watched being built and couldn't wait to try for a future team building option and great sports bar in the neighborhood. We left disappointed.
When I first saw the low reviews for this brand-spanking-new entertainment-meets-sports-bar spot on Yelp, I thought, "Tough crowd." After actually going? I totally get it.
Is this it, or are they still working out the kinks? I'm not so sure.
It's a sports bar, restaurant, bowling alley, and arcade all under one roof. While I didn't go for the gaming, the bar and food (which I did go for) left a lot to be desired. From the outside, it looks like the perfect spot to spend a fun afternoon. As the hubs and I cozied up to the bar, families and kids were tucked away in another section. Perfect setup. But if, like us, you're there to catch the games, grab some food, and settle in for good vibes, this isn't quite the place. And I hate that, because the location, design, and overall energy are on point. It's exactly the kind of spot I usually love for game-day hangs.
Then came the constant loudspeaker interruptions announcing bowling lane reservations. Honestly, can the patrons just get a "your lane is ready" text or a buzzer to return? The vibe-kill is real, and it gives the whole place more of a kids' complex feel than an adult entertainment venue. And why can't we meet in the middle and have the best of both worlds?
And then there was the food. The presentation was great, but the flavor was missing. The wings were fried to a crisp--dry and tough. We didn't finish them. The carne asada tacos came highly recommended but showed up with dry steak and a bland sauce. We ate all of our sweet potato fries that were great, but didn’t have a decent honey mustard sauce to complement them. We left earlier than we planned (after I couldn’t convince the hubs to try a dessert for fear of being further disappointed) thinking the food was an afterthought in this otherwise stunning new space, which is so unfortunate.
All in all, other than Patrick being super attentive and kind while pouring drinks at the bar, I hate to report our first trip (and first experience with the McWally's brand) fell flat. I thought I was going to get the experience I’ve had at similar businesses in this lane, and I did not.
Le sigh.
