What was once one of the (if not the) best bowling alleys in Charlotte is now nothing more than a corporatized money grab. Warped lanes with no oil whatsoever that now have string pin setups. Just an absolutely awful bowling experience. 2 stars only because the staff was very nice.
Not looking for a response like “sorry for your experience, we’ll do better blah blah blah”. Lucky Strike / Bowlero / Whatever has taken quality bowling alleys and turned them into cheaply run entertainment centers designed to get as much money out of you as possible. The experience I had was by design.
I would highly encourage people to look elsewhere if you want to actually bowl.

Wish I would have read the latest reviews before I came here. BS lanes. Haven’t been oiled in weeks. Don’t go here if you’re trying to bowl anything over a 100. Damn shame that they let this place go to hell. They turned a good place into duck pin bowling. $100 for 2 hours for two people. Wanted to leave after 10 minutes.

Honestly we left there in shock at how much money we spent for an hour of bowling. The bowling alley lanes were fine, nothing special and nothing bad. The pricing for bowling was what floored us. For my wife and our three kids just to bowl two games cost us $150. Then you have the option to order food, but you still have to close out separately with the front counter. The kicker was that they ask you if you want to leave a tip at the counter on top of the tip for food service...unreal. Our server was fantastic though, very hospitable and attentive. Food was also terrific. The sad part is that we actually liked the set up other than only having options of even weighted balls. Why would you not have 9s, 11s, and 13s available? The ridiculous pricing at this place is a deterrent to ever want to come back, especially with a family. It's a bowling alley, not a night club. Not surprising the place wasn't very busy on a Saturday evening.

The people are nice and the rebrand over rebrand was weird, but it is a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, with all the changes, it just isn't very enjoyable, unless you exclusively bring little kids and want to entertain them. They have pins on strings now, which is strange for a full lane set up, the lights are almost always off, so you can't see the arrows. The balls are also all pre drilled with extra holes, so if you use the house ball, it will be a little weird. Overall, in the sake of appealing to a wide range of people, they sacrifice the original intent of a bowling alley, and some types of people/bowlers for the sake of others.

I was searching for a venue to host a themed social event for a group of 15+ people. To begin with, it took over two and a half weeks to finally get connected with the event coordination team. During that time, I spoke with several managers at the alley who assured me they would help connect me with the coordinators; unfortunately, that never happened.
By the time I was finally contacted, I was already hesitant about moving forward with the reservation. However, the coordinator was very pleasant, understanding, and helpful, which led me to put my frustrations aside and give the venue another chance.
Unfortunately, the issues continued upon arrival. The staff did not have my party properly set up, my reservation was under the wrong name, and I was repeatedly told that my party did not book the package we had paid for until I showed my receipt, which confirmed the mistake was on their end. We were also placed in the wrong area and had to move, causing our event to start approximately 40 minutes late due to the back-and-forth and confusion. Additionally, staff members were unable to clearly explain what was included in our package, which suggested a lack of proper training.
That said, once the team realized the inconvenience they had caused, they did make an effort to correct the situation and went above and beyond to accommodate us. I can show grace because we are all human; however, the entire experience was extremely frustrating. Other parties in the venue appeared to be fully set up and organized, which made it feel like our group received the short end of the stick.
When people spend their hard-earned money especially in today’s economy it’s reasonable to expect a certain level of organization and professionalism.
I hope the team and corporate leadership can take this feedback as an opportunity to reassess their processes and improve overall customer satisfaction.
