From the moment he approached me, it was clear that he genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in helping customers find exactly what they need. Thomas helped me find two pairs of hiking pants and the perfect hiking socks — taking the time to understand what I was looking for and making thoughtful, knowledgeable recommendations. He didn't stop there, though. He also advised me to use Nikwax TX.Direct Wash-In Waterproofing to restore and maintain water-resistant fabric on my hiking pants and other outdoor clothing — a tip I never would have known about on my own. That kind of expert, proactive advice is what separates a good shopping experience from a truly great one. What stood out most was Thomas's demeanor throughout. He was warm, patient, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping me — never rushed, never dismissive. His knowledge of the products was impressive, and his passion for the outdoors came through in every recommendation he made. If I could give Thomas a score, it would be 100 out of 100, without hesitation. He is an incredible asset to the REI Cary team and a perfect example of the outstanding customer service that keeps people coming back.
