  Visited the casino on Wednesday evening. We didn't see anyone working there. Came across 1 Security personnel and he was on his phone and never acknowledged anyone that we could see. The place was deserted except for a few people in the ESPN room. Bar wasn't open, the cigar lounge wasn't open. The parking lot feels like a holdup waiting to happen. Won't be back

  Booked online a week before. Got there on that Friday evening and go to check in and the lady at the desk , tried to put me in a non smoking room . We paid for smoking . If I hadn’t called my daughter . For the deposit. We would’ve been in a non smoking room . And she needed to ask the other lady a question. Waited til the other lady checked someone else in before she asked . Had us standing there waiting. The room was okay. Would’ve expected it to be nicer . She stated that construction was going on in the hotel . And that they book ppl even if a smoking room is not available. Even though we paid for smoking . That’s not right . If u book a room . That room should be available when u arrive . She said if she didn’t have smoking there we may have to go to another hotel . Don’t book , if u not sure u have an available room . The sheets were too big for the beds . When u pull the top cover out from under the mattress. The other sheet came out and was on the floor .they need to use fitted sheets . The pillows were really nice . Plenty of them . Had to try to re- tuck it . The beds were pretty comfortable . Had a problem getting the room warm . But I would stay again in the further . But for $200 more I expected to look better .

  Games are fun and not too tight. My experience was a Rollercoaster. Gentleman (security) at the door very friendly and helpful to a new comer. Cage to get a card, only one person working. She was very sweet but there was quite a line waiting for her. Slots were up and down...the usual which is what makes it exciting. Had fun losing, winning, losing, being even, then winning again! ALL FUN and NICE EMPLOYEES. The casino experience I enjoy! ...EXCEPT THE LADY AT THE CAFE!!! There was a huge line and she paid no attention to the customers she didnt personally know! She ignored people in front of me in line and i saw several walk/stomp away for obvious reasons. She wouldn't have been so backed up if she helped customers in line one by one...instead she picked people she knew all around the counter. It was more like she was hoping everyone would walk away from the line, leaving just those she liked and knew....so bad for business. I am sorry. I love Ameristar Properties. I am not from here just here for work for a couple months. It only takes one person to ruin your whole experience or memory of a place. Thank goodness your other employees are delightful!

  I stayed at the Ameristar hotel in Vicksburg. This place is a dump, old, rundown, and not well maintained. Carpet stains in the room, desk has several white stains of some sort. The shower curtain was torn and hanging wrong. There was not any shower gel, shampoo, or conditioner in the shower. When I went to the front desk to get some I was told it is all locked up and housekeeping won't be in until later. I paid for a room that does not have the basic amenities!
