Do not stay here unless you have no other choices. I was not satisfied in the least with this Golden Nugget. The room was FILTHY! We didn’t realize HOW dirty it was until the morning with the natural light. There was liquid on the walls, broken furniture, dust allll over the room. After questioning if I should have asked for another room, walking through the hallways revealed wallpaper pulling off the walls, trash left in the hallways, and door not sealing right; this was not just a mid-step in room cleanliness, this was a lack of care or lack of staffing. Who has a ceiling fan in a hotel room? That was weird and it was covered in dust. The tub looked amazing, but too scared I would catch something with all the other lack of cleaning. The room smelled like the previous people, food droppings on the floor, beds not made properly and the beds were not secured to the wall. Slots hardly paid out as well. I was really sad about this visit as we were on the travel back to Texas from days and days of travel and thought we would have a great ending.

Always have loved Golden Nugget. But we’ve noticed that with each stay, the condition of the room has deteriorated. In our first room of our 2 night stay, we found blood on the mattress. The room was muggy and hot no matter how low we put the AC. The tub drain was so clogged that my shower was a standing bath. For the price, it’s just no longer up to par. Our second room wasn’t much different except we had the jacuzzi in the room and a standing shower. The jacuzzi was filthy; the jets looked like they had never been cleaned. Same issue with AC and room not cooling off as well. For the price, it’s just no longer up to par. This past weekend was our last stay.

Our TV never worked, the bathroom dripped louder in the tub, the smoke alarm kept beeping, maintenance came up 3 times at 11 PM—nobody can fix it, next morning they still couldn’t fix it, we had to switch room where the phone also didn’t work nor did the outlets and the tub still dripped. Our compensation for all of this was a breakfast that we had to fight for that was only available Mon-Fri (it was Saturday when we got it and they knew we were leaving Monday) and it was only one option of breakfast which is something that can be cooked at home easily but it would’ve been better at home. So after inconveniencing us and us having to switch rooms after being all unpacked, all they offered us besides the breakfast was $20 back everyday which we were told it would be $60. Completely ruined our Saturday which was the most expensive day out of our stay. I know lots of people who go to the Golden Nugget and I will now be telling everyone I know not to return because as we tried supporting their casino, they didn’t support us when we had problems with our rooms—they don’t care. “It’s not our fault, we don’t know if anything is wrong with a room until someone stays in the room and has a horrible experience” —direct quotes from the front desk manager. All the staff acted like it wasn’t their problem and we are beyond upset about this experience; never again.

The rooms, service and quality used to be great, we've been coming here regularly for the last 2 years or so. In the last 3 months, last 3 stays, our waiter at Bubba Gumps forgot about us and it took 85 min to get our dinner. We watched all the tables around us get severed even though we were there up to a hour more than some who was served. They did take care of the check. .Another stay I ask to speak to security supervisor and someone name Stacy was so rude, I ask to speak to her supervisor and she informed me that she was the boss and if I didn't like it too bad. This was very disappointing, she was so rude and didn't bother to try and resolve my issue. Today there was no soap to wash our hands with in the room, I called to ask if they can please bring hand soap to wash hands, they brought body wash. I had to call again to get the correct soap. I also told them that the room smelled like some and it was bothering my sinuses. Instead of moving us, they said they will send up some spray. That was 3 hours ago. I am currently sneezing and nose running dealing with the smoke smell as i write this review. Customer service is out the window.

If I could give a negative 5 for service, I would!!!! Website is terrible. Ive been trying to get logged back in for literally years. For some reason its impossible to get my email changed. I have to call, which is an absolute nightmare of repeating account numbers and dates. The hotel is rundown and nothing stays open. No valet, bell service very limited. My phone didn't work in my room and nobody ever came to fix it. AC wouldn't drop below 72 and was a very musky/moldy smell. View was incredible. People were pleasant. Thats the only plus' I can give.
