Check-in Sunday took a long time. This was 1:00pm and line was long. People no longer check OUT, they just leave so it was not b/c of people leaving from Sat. night. Got up to see if room was ready and it was not. Went back at 3:30 and it was. I booked same for my sister. She got there at 5pm and her room was still not ready!! Checkin on website says its 3pm. but lady at front desk said that its not guaranteed for 3pm check-in. WTH??

Only issue was paid for 2 days with golf package. Ended up having to pay for golf one day and couldn’t play the next day because of a tournament being held. Also didn’t receive vouchers at check in. Maybe because the clerk was about to get off.

We made this 735 mile trip to spend 3-4 days at their campground. We had received a mail offer/invitation with RSVP to participate in a duck race and a fish fry meal. There were NO exclusions or warnings about "limited availability". I made the phone call to the RSVP well within the time posted. I was promptly told that they were full-sold out? I tried to explain that our mail offer DID NOT mention anything about limited capacity etc. I then phoned AGAIN and asked about the fish fry. Response the same, event is full. I then asked if they could comp my rv site for Sunday? Response-NOT QUALIFIED!!!! SO beware about HOLLYWOOD offers!!! They truly don't care about their customers as long as they are full, the hell with everybody else. We have stayed here several years for 3-4 days spring and fall BUT NO MORE!! This is not how I ran my business. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE

Room lamp shades had either ketchup or blood splatter on lampshade. Floor looked like it had a brownish greenish stain on it. I don’t want to say what I think it could be. But the kicker is this. Around 10 something Easter Sunday morning me and my visually impaired wife are in the room. I’m laying in bed she is in the tub and fire alarm goes off we have to evacuate. We are on the seventh floor and have to use the stairs. As we are going down the stairs the staff is just as puzzled as we are we are moving slow because my wife is tapping her cane as she tries to navigate this staircase so her and I and this other elderly lady are pretty much left to fend for our selves. We make it to the bottom of the stairwell and it’s raining outside the other old lady we was walking with said she doesn’t think she can make it to the front so she was just about to sit in the rain. I offered to carry her bag to help her get back inside. There is one worker who said I think y’all go that way. So as we walk around to the door leading back into the building we make our way to the main hall by check-in and it looks like business as usual. People gambling buying food and checking in. So now we are confused. If you all discovered it was a false alarm why didn’t you notify us? All the front desk said was I’m sorry. We don’t check out until Monday but If I didn’t want to waist my money I would leave now. And the only reason I didn’t complain about the stains in the room is because if I would have told my wife about it she would have had a fit. Hollywood you have to do better.

No room > motel 6 > used smoking room > corner suite We often go to l’auberge and my wife has always wanted to take me to Hollywood and Beau Rivage. We showed up on sat night at 8pm. Long story short, we were told they were overbooked. The front desk was rude and unapologetic, stating that it was over sold, “this is how they do business, it’s like the airlines where they oversell” and there’s 5 other guests in the same position; I’m not sure the significance of telling me how many others they’ve done this to. The only thing they’re willing to do was to send us to a Motel 6 down the street and comp it. It was straight out the Seinfeld episode “you know how to take a reservation, you just don’t know how to hold the reservation” We checked other hotels, Beau, Island, Harrahs and unfortunately being a Sat already they were all sold out; asking if the other hotels oversell, they said they don’t do this and something we’ve never encountered. At times we’ve had been given smoking rooms but not “walked” as she said it to a Motel 6. Luckily we’re casino Penn members so we went to the host desk in the casino just to check if they could do anything. Lee, one of the Sr. Hosts was amazing, she assured us this shouldn’t have been the case, not hotel policy. She comp’d us dinner upstairs at the steakhouse while she looked into anything she could do. Her and her team was great, she came up and found a smoking room for us. Most likely not her fault, we went upstairs to the room and the room hadn’t been made up. The bed sheets were all over, bathroom had dirty towels and garbage bin was full still with, cigarette ashes. Back down to the front desk since hosts leave at 10pm, I let them know- of course housekeeping leaves at 10pm also (curious if someone has an accident or needs service in the middle of the night). At that point I was willing to put on the sheets, crash the night and figure it out the next day. The front desk was lady was nice though, she found us a smoking corner suite and I tipped her for helping us out. Rough start to our trip, but luckily the hosts helped us out after a rude and unpleasant talk with the front desk.
