I’ve been skiing for years, but this was my first time getting my husband into the sport, so the boot-fitting experience really mattered to me.
John in the ski department was absolutely exceptional. From the start, I shared that my top priority was making sure my husband had a great first experience, especially since he was understandably a bit uneasy about trying something new. John listened closely, never rushed us, and immediately put us at ease. He has a PhD in “this boot doesn’t feel quite right,” and that expertise showed at every step.
We felt completely supported by someone who truly knows his craft. Beyond just fitting the boots, John’s communication was outstanding. He clearly explained what actually matters in boot selection, why certain things feel the way they do, and how to think about comfort and performance long-term.
Because of John, my husband left feeling confident, comfortable, and genuinely excited to ski. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

My wife and I came in to buy boots. Both my wife and I found boots we liked, but had to leave as our kids were expiring. We asked and were told they were put on hold. I just came back less than 24 hours later and the boots were nowhere to be found. Guy spent 25 minutes trying to find them and couldn’t find either mine or my wifes.

Came in for skate sharpening, a service that Hoigaard’s does not offer. That said, the lady at the front desk was very courteous and mentioned the rec center down the street as an alternative. Very helpful!
Informative, friendly, and helpful service. Stopped in at 10am on Saturday morning and was out by 10:30. Mew skis for the trail!
Worst in person customer service I've ever experienced. I waited in the back by the service shop (10/23/25 @2pm) and a man told me he would be right with me. He was busy and asked another employee to help and he asked "is there even a customer at the counter". He came to the counter not looking like he wanted to help me at all. I asked if he could help me pop the seal on the tread of a tire. He scoffed and looked very annoyed. He took the tire back and I asked for the plastic bag with the screws in it. He proceeded to throw the bag at me looking more annoyed. He took my tire in the back for about 30 seconds came back and said there is nothing he can possibly do for me and to go else where. Never been treated so poorly in person. First and last time I will ever go here. My friends have spoken highly of this place and this was a complete let down.
