They had two friendly people at the door greeting people but after that, not one salesperson offered to help us. We wanted to try on boots and waited for a man in the shoe department to finish up with a customer. When he did, he began cleaning up the boxes and didn’t even acknowledge that we were standing 3 feet away. I asked if he could help us when he got a chance and without looking up, he mumbled something and went into the back room. He came back out, ignored us, and went back to packing up shoeboxes. We sat down. He came back out and did some more cleaning up and finally looked at us and said “What can I help you with.” I asked if he could tell us which shoes they have in a wide, and he told us he didn’t know but could look it up. I don’t know if he did because next thing I know he’s recommending shoes that don’t come in the wide. I was just confused. Does this person not want a sale?

I made my first visit to the Roseville store on Friday at 7pm I arrived with the intention on purchasing my big 3; backpack, UL tent and sleeping system. For over an hour I looked at backpacks by myself. Not one single time did an employee ask if I needed any help. However, the same employee walked past me several times, coming in and put of the backpack area for no appear ant reason. I'd presume to make sure I wasn't shoplifting but thats it. I spent $900. I decided to return the tent and take my business elsewhere. Despite holding a lifelong membership card, I will never return to this store. If you're shopping at REI don't waste your time (or theirs I guess) with the Roseville store.

The people who work in the bike shop (especially Dave) are THE BEST! They are fun to talk to, knowledgeable, and give you great service for you money. I have an off brand bike and they have troubleshooted and repaired some head scratchers. They are the "repair pros" in my book.
