  We had a good experience at REI in Ann Arbor Michigan. They staff were all engaged with assisting us with the items we will need for an upcoming hiking trip. They were knowledgeable and friendly. They told us about upcoming sales events too. We joined REI as members because of their engagement.

  We recently had two bikes tuned up and repaired here, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Connor, in particular, went above and beyond - taking care of both the big repairs and the small details that really make a difference. It’s clear he enjoys his work and genuinely cares about customer's experience. The whole team was friendly and professional, and the quality of the service speaks for itself. I highly recommend REI bike shop for their expertise, attention to detail, and outstanding staff.

  The people at the bike shop/repair are just awesome, I’ve been going here for repairs for years now. I have the membership so I get some discounted stuff. But they work with you and try really hard to make sure it’s affordable and they have done blessings for my bikes.

  Honestly an awesome outdoor store! My experience with customer service was above and beyond- thank you to all the kind staff that helped today! Every single worker I interacted with was extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a busy day (one of the member days), but they all seemed cool, collected and did their best to help point us in the right direction! Kindness goes a long way and I truly appreciate it! Sure, REI has expensive products, but they have a variety of everything, including some options on the cheaper side too and carry Coleman tents in addition to more expensive and backpacking-focused brands. I feel like they've got something for everyone. I only knocked off a point due to it seeming to move in a more clothing-focused way, with less tents and other camping gear available than in previous years when I have been. I understand that this is likely just a reflection of sales, but I was surprised to see that the gear portion of the store seemed to be smaller. I'd also love some more variety of classes like they have at other locations such as backpacking and hiking basics or beginner's camping workshop. It'd be dope to meet some people with similar interests! All in all, I highly recommend! Very kind and knowledgeable staff, I just wish it was a bit more geared-focused compared to clothing, though I do understand stock reflects sales, as well as wishing for more classes and workshops.
