  It's not helpful to pick in-store pickup in 2 hours and then everything you click on says it has to be shipped to your house that's just false advertising I don't need this store for that sorry see you later

  **MY FIRST TIME AT REI in Louisville**: Had to leave a 5 STAR review for the EXCEPTIONAL service I received this morning while shopping at REI in Louisville! So let me start on Saturday. 🗣️JESSE - this man knows his garmin watches. I walked in wanting to purchase my first smart watch, specifically to use for running and working out. I did so much research my head hurt, so at this point I just needed help. Jesse blew me away with his knowledge, patience and honesty. Things I value most. I bought a Garmin Forerunner 165 - thanks Jesse! THEN - moving on to today, Monday. I needed some insoles. Figured since I had a $30 gift card from REI (happy point i’ll mention later) - I’d start there. Walked in and was met by SIOBHAN (hope I spelled that correctly), again - patience and knowledge! This was going to be my first pair of insoles ever - she took out a thingy and measured my feet; I have a high arch, and so she started making suggestions and having me try some insoles out…but I also have very tiny feet…so it wasn’t “hmm I’m not sure” “maybe try somewhere else” vibe …she brought the manager over, ERIN (hope that’s how you spell it), who also went above and beyond when it came to finding insoles. Spent at least 20 mins with us. They were so focused on me that we started talking about shoes and at this point now I’m happily trying on new shoes lol.. Note: I came in bc I was having arch pain while working out and running. I’m an athlete trying to get into running. Never enjoyed it when I played sports growing up - only did it by force. 😅 So Erin and Siobhan are feeding me all this awesome info about my feet, shoes, taping my arch..I’m trying on shoes, literally running around the store - I’m just like damn - this is white glove service for a retail store. 🔥👏🏽😎 It ended like this: Siobhan took my new goodies to the front while I perused some more and then eventually went up purchased my new shoes, insoles (alters olympus 6) and a water pack thingy. THANK YOU ALL!!!! Now - what made me even happier is the membership perks that REI has!! Like what? - I thought it was a trick! 10% back on every purchase to rack up and use later? the return policy? the resupply section? AND I got a $30 gift card to use on my next purchase because I made a purchase..tell me where they do that? and i can use gift card the next day!! (I used it with the shoes.) AND I went ahead and snagged there credit card too bc no annual fee and you get a $100 gift card, only gotta make one purchase - like huh? REI - are yall making any money? 😂 Kidding. If you are not a member - become one! It is the ONLY retail store in all of my life that has the customer in my mind - and you actually get REAL perks!!! Name another store….I’ll wait….exactly. Alright so that was long - but really, the BEST customer service I’ve received in a long time from a retail store! Up there w Chic Fil A. I’m late to the game on REI, but I will certainly be back now - especially now that I’m a member. 🙂
