    While this isn't the cheapest outdoor store in the area the definitely make up for it with QUALITY gear and EXCELLENT customer service. The folks who work here seem like the truly want to be there and do enjoy the outdoors. I'm happy to be an REI member for almost 20 years now and this store doesn't disappoint.

    I had the best experience at the REI store at the Paddock shops. I went there with the intension of purchasing some Altra brand trail shoes, as they have been my go to for a few years. When I told Spencer what I needed and what features were important to me, he also suggested I try on the Hoka Gaviota's, which I promptly declined as I had tried Hoka's before but was not impressed. Spencer was so patient and accommodating as he brought out at least 8 different styles, to no avail. None of them felt quite right. I succumbed to Spencer's wisdom and genious and tried the Hokas. I LOVE THEM!! Spencer was right! I'm now skipping around in my new kicks, with more energy and pizazz. Spencer might have offered the best sales experience I've ever had. Go to REI and ask for Spencer.
