The room was dirty, the bathroom and bathtub were disgusting! The mattress on the bed was awful, we did not get any sleep! I asked for a manager before checking out and I was waiting forever and so we left! We were charged a fee for coffee and water we didn’t drink the coffee because the coffee maker was rusted out! This was my first and last time staying at this hotel! I will be putting in a google review! I want a refund! That hotel was so nasty we didn’t even shower, we left! No manager has yet to call me, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my family and friends! Disgusting! Staff is very rude and disrespectful, the manager during my stay on Saturday was also rude! I’m a high limit player, the casino was ok, but the hotel and all staff need to be redesigned respectfully! You guys can do better!!! The worst experience I’ve ever experienced at a hotel casino! The worst!

I would say 3.5 stars but that wasn't an option. The casino has a great selection of slot machines, affordable drinks and I had great drink service on a Thursday night. Not much wait if any at the bar and there was a server on the casino floor. I didn't like that so many slot machines are down this long corridor you walk thru to get to the main casino area. It takes forever to walk from there back into the main casino if you wanted to go get a drink, eat or needed to go to the cashier. It's also a pretty long walk from the hotel. I ate at the Eatery and it was fast and good. The hotel was good. Not great, not bad but ok. I got a comp on a room so I can't complain too much. Pros: The rooms are big. There is a couch, bed and workspace table. It has a refrigerator and my room had a bathtub. It's an older room but not really outdated looking or worn looking. You had some scuff marks and the tub had some staining you get just from use over a long time but that's not a big deal to me. I was on the second floor. Cons: The rooms are surface level cleaned. I could tell my bedding had been washed the room vacuumed and the bathroom wiped down. I had clean towels. BUT as others have stated there are only 2 smaller bath towels and if more than 1 person that is a problem. Please just put 4 bathtowels in the room. The floorboards and corners had grime and hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Behind the bed was dusty. I realize hardly anyone uses a hotel phone anymore but I accidentally knocked the handset off the phone and it was really dirty underneath. The windows were really gross. I was only on the second floor and someone could easily walk up and open the windows from outside so I wanted to be sure they were locked. My hands got filthy from touching the windows and window sills. AND the windows had no screens and did NOT lock. Thank goodness they did have brackets above the windows that wouldn't allow them to open more than 2 inches. The carpet was gross in some spots. Sticky in places. It was in good shape but needs shampooed or replaced. Lastly. ..as others mentioned the TV remote sucks. The TV was a decent sized LG flat-screenvwith a good picture, but an older one. So not sure if it's the age of the TV causing issues or what the deal is. I had to find a sweet spot in the room and keep punching buttons repeatedly to get it to work. Changing the channel could take 30 seconds. Hollywood Casino- give us more towels, a working TV remote and deep clean the rooms once in awhile and I think more people will be happy with their stay.

The rooms definitely need updates. The bathroom needs it the most. Cracks in the toilet bowl, hair still on the shampoo dispenser. I have stayed in worse. I love the casino. All the money they take in you would think they would invest it in the rooms. Customer service at the desk, how do I put it nicely... he really didn't speak except for "checking in", "I need you license " and after I stood there for a minute I got "your all done" No clue of where the room was or anything. The man in the hallway was very nice and helpful tho.

The Hotel was the dirtiest over priced Hotel I have ever stayed in. There were cob webs hanging from the ceiling. The pull out vents to the air conditioning were packed full of dirt and lent that was so bad I had to wash them off in the bathtub to try to remove some of the smell of the room. The lamp was broken so bad that the concrete anchor it had in the base of it was shattered all over the floor. The bathtub had a dirt ring that looked like it had never been cleaned. They charged me over $300 dollars for this room that in my opinion wasn’t worth $25 a night.

Great Casino & Location, But Room Cleanliness Fell Short This past weekend was our first stay at Hollywood Casino & Resort. We stayed in room 460. While we absolutely loved the casino, the resort itself, and the location, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. We did not expect perfection, but we did expect basic cleanliness. Unfortunately, that was lacking. There was noticeable dust on nearly every surface, including the arms of the loveseat and the bottoms of the dressers and nightstands. We also noticed blood stains on the bathroom door frame, which was very concerning. When checking the bed for bedbugs, we found that the undersheet and mattress cover had multiple stains on them. While the bed itself appeared intact, the condition of the linens and mattress cover was unsettling and took away from our comfort during the stay. Additionally, we had to go to the front desk twice just to get towels, which made us wonder if there was a housekeeping staff available. I also called the front desk twice for assistance—on the first call I was on hold for over 20 minutes, and the second call lasted 22 minutes before being answered. We truly love the casino, the atmosphere, and the location, and that’s why this was such a letdown. The room itself underwhelmed us, and with better attention to cleanliness and guest service, this property could easily match the quality of its casino and amenities.
