Atkins Golf Club at the University of Illinois, formerly Stone Creek Golf Club, is the home of the University of Illinois Fighting Illini Men's and Women's golf teams. The original Nugent design was enhanced in 2021 by Drew Rogers with a $5 million renovation to create an enjoyable 18-hole public championship golf course in central Illinois. It’s beautifully manicured bentgrass fairways, premium greens and fair, yet challenging design make Atkins Golf Club an incredible experience for golfers of all levels.

- JLJustin LeithSep 14, 20255.0Very well maintained. Challenging yet fun layout for a 20+ handicap golfer. Greens were not too fast, pin locations not too terrible. Clubhouse is beautiful, practice areas are decent. I would love to play it again.

Sand bunkers have beautiful fine white sand. Medium difficulty. Lots of U of I merchandise in the pro shop with big selection but prices are high there. Friendly staff.
- CCCraig CarrJul 17, 20255.0Course is in outstanding shape. Greens were huge, very firm and quick. Very few "straight" putts -- greens were really tough for me to read and that made it tricky. Clubhouse and bar are really nice. $75 to ride 18, and that included 25 complimentary range balls. GPS Carts. Only unusual thing was that the "halfway house" was located off the 2nd green/16th tee.
