I couldn't have been more pleased with the service (and payment!) I received from PGS! I had taken some "silverware" to another place previously, and they didnt even bat an eye, because it wasn't Sterling Silver ... I now wish I had taken it here! I highly recommend you bring your precious metals & coins here!

I had an incredibly wonderful experience with PGS and Judith! She was kind and very informative. Brought in jewelry that was either broken, outdated and just taking up space. I was pleasantly surprised with my return as to what I had just laying around collecting dust! Thank you Judith! (And Rachel:)

It took me a while to write this because I was honestly very upset after leaving. I brought in some of my late mother’s jewelry, which already made the visit emotional for me. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The woman (I beleieve Judith was her name) assisting me came across as arrogant and lacked basic compassion. As I laid the jewelry out in trays, she would quickly grab items, said “junk,” and toss them aside. I understand that not everything may have significant value, but given that these pieces belonged to my mother—and she was aware of that—a little sensitivity would have gone a long way. For the items she did keep to evaluate, she said they would be weighed. However, when she gave me an offer and I asked about the weight, she avoided answering the question. At that point, I was overwhelmed and not thinking clearly, so I accepted the offer. I left in tears, feeling dismissed and taken advantage of. I called back to ask about the weight and pricing but never got an answer. BTW one bracelet she deemed JUNK I decided to check with a jeweler and it was indeed 14K italian gold. She had that in a pile of "junk" which she offered , I think, $10 for the whole pile. This experience lacked both transparency and empathy, and I would not recommend this business based on how I was treated

I took a gamble from an on-line search. Knowledge and friendly staff. Didn’t quite receive what I had hoped for, a good compromise was agreed on. Best to know market metal pricing before you go, if you don’t they certainly do know! It’s spot on. I will return again when the time comes.

Yes we are concerned about the d below the date being double stamped or more. You're also concerned about the lettering on the top, some of the letters are bigger than the rest of the letters.. this is actually front and back, plus the bottom of the back the pillars seem to be off, and there seems to be a crack on the right hand side on the base. Besides there being more double stamped or more stamped or errors in the coin. We thank you for all of your effort in finding out with this might be worth! We are more than willing to sell it to you of course thank you for your time! I spoke to Nancy from your Illinois store.
