Their knowledge and quality of teaching is unmatched as they are dedicated into helping each and every person that walks through the door and helps them accomplish what ever goals they have in mind.

Instructors are very well trained and extremely knowledgeable, plus are happy to be teaching which you can tell by the amount of effort put into classes and openness to questions or helping you improve in specific ways. As a girl too I’ve always felt safe and comfortable partnering and sparring with the guys. And if you’re competing the instructors try hard to help make you as prepared as possible as long you put the work in, which I experienced myself. Overall great place, whether for hobby or competition.

Owner puts more money and attention into the kids classes and competition cause they make him money. “Mma fighters“ from this gym lose all their fights most recent loss was october 11th lol. Need to rebrand to a bjj gym because they don’t compete in kb or mt. Membership is $350 to start then it’s $200 a month for all classes but they only keep two sterling classes a week. Far better mma gyms in the city than this gym.

Academy of Self Defense is very structured and disciplined. My children have been gaining great knowledge. Sensei Matt, Nick and the rest take their job serious. Their flexible hours are so convenient which allows my children to play other sports. It's money well spent.
