  Love rei but the has been the worst experience I have had. I bought a Cannondale in Columbus OH for my wife last Mother’s Day. I have aired the back tire probably 5 times since and the other day we woke up to a flat tire. I understood that one but took it to rei in Boise to remedy and a quick tune. Great timing the bike tune was 50 dollars off but the guy checking me out seemed new. Before I knew it his manager came over and added probably 25 dollars in miscellaneous things. I paid for the tires to be filled with sealant because the guy told me it would help small punctures. Got the bike back and it looked great but cost was pretty high. I understood but my wife rode less then one mile with my daughters, came home and parked the bike overnight, woke up to a flat in the front. Took it off and no sealant. Called the store and the bike shop person(Andrea I think) says pretty much nothing she can do but sell me more things and sometimes there is miscommunication and that can be anyone’s fault. Super disappointed probably taking a break from rei for a little

  I came in to get a key for a Thule roof box and KJ was incredibly helpful. We ended up replacing the lock core because it was stripped and she installed the new one for me right there in the parking lot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for help with their roof box.

  Picked up high end snowboard boots at a fantastic end of season price. The guy I talked with when I called, the lady that help me & the cashier were extremely helpful and friendly. Great customer service.

  3/6/26 - I’m not sure what is going on with REI, but the management at this store is failing. Merchandise has been completely rearranged - normally not a problem - but there’s an entire wall with jackets & shirts that are no longer accessible for women of average height. After asking, I was told I’d have to “find an associate with a green vest” and they could get something down for me. Seriously! They have also locked the dressing room doors with instructions to press a button and someone would come as soon as they could. It took awhile. I asked about the changes and was told “they get instructions from the corporate office” and could not change anything. There is a noticeable change in employee responses - no one was downright rude, but it was made clear that mentioning their “unfriendly” changes would not do any good. Over the past 31 years I have purchased a LOT of merchandise from this store…not any more. I can shop elsewhere (where I don’t have to track down an employee if I want to look at shirts).
