  Loved the routing and conditioning. The design with bunkers punching every approach is tiresome and outdated and with the wind makes some holes feel repetitive and somewhat impossible. But the overall experience and, again, routing and variety of holes left me enjoying it nonetheless.

  Played Kaanapali Royal twice this trip. Course was in good condition much better views available on many other courses. Pace of play both rounds over 5 hours and not addressed either round. Played in afternoon to take advantage of lower rates. They charge $5 for practice balls in afternoon which I find insulting when paying $200 for a round of golf. They no longer offer discounts for guest of Kaanapali Resorts. Poor communication from starter as to when you’re about to play. I’ve been coming to Maui over 15 years always playing a couple rounds at Kaanapali courses. I can say that I plan on coming again next year but the Kaanapali courses will not be on my agenda. Worth the drive to Wailea where courses are comparable prices with better views and service.

  Updated from 3 to 4 stars. Loved the course, views and experience. Club rentals and twilight rate very fair. Had to wear sneakers Staff not overly welcoming. Below average pro shop. Horrible range and balls should be included when I spent $450 for 2 times, 2 club rentals, dozen balls And 2 shirts. All good. Then at the 10th hole, the cart died. I phoned the pro shop. They said they’d be right out. 15 mins later we decided to carry the bags and walk as we were racing daylight assuming they’d bring the cart to us. They didn’t. They just took it back to the cart barn. So I called again and they finally brought us a cart. But we walked 4 holes carrying bags and cooler. Overall we still loved it. Got to play golf in Hawaii. Would’ve appreciated a gift card or couple of hats for our inconvenience.

  This was an awful experience. This course is not well managed at all. We were on pace for a 6 hour round. Called to ask management to address the extreme slow play and could not reach anyone for 25 minutes. We finally had to skip a hole to pass the obvious novice slow play and had not other players in front after hole 7. Do you not have proper Marshall’s that know how to politely handle such scenarios. Other indicators of poor management is the drunk vagrant singing loudly from 17th bathroom vestibule, no filled sand bottles at the turn, pins located in the wrong position on the cart GPS. This course needs to wake up and properly manage or you will not have serious golfers patronizing the establishment.

  素晴らしい眺めのコース。広めで気持ちよく飛ばせる。グリーンはアンジュレーションが厳しく難しいが、とてもきれいにメンテナンスされている。
