  I rented a GoPro from Boss Froger in Koloa, and the whole experience was fantastic. The store manager, Sawyer, was incredibly friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. Because the trail at Waimea Canyon was extremely wet and slippery that day, our hike took much longer than expected, and we couldn’t make it back to the shop before closing. We arrived exactly as the store had closed, and Sawyer was already heading to his car to go home. When I explained the situation, he was very understanding and didn’t hesitate to help. Even after hours, he completed part of the rental for me (since the system was already shut down) and told me I could finish the remaining steps when I returned the camera the next day. He took the time to walk me through how to use the GoPro, gave me an extra memory card and battery, and made sure I had everything I needed for my early morning boat tour. When I came back to return the camera the next morning, we mentioned we were staying on Kauai for a few more days, and he even gave us a bottle of anti-fog solution for our snorkeling goggles. Sawyer truly went above and beyond. Exceptional customer service like this is rare. I highly recommend this shop to anyone visiting Kauai!

  Sawyer is the man. He’s a class act and a true professional. My wife and I flew over from the Big Island where we live for a three-day vacation just the two of us, and we never get to standup paddle board with three young kids at home. He was kind, was working hard tending to two other groups of people when we arrived to rent, he was thoughtful, and we both truly enjoyed getting to hear a little bit about his story. Boss Frog is extremely fortunate to have Sawyer representing them.

  Can’t speak highly enough about this shop. Sawyer is super personable and so helpful to everyone who walks through the doors. You can sense his passion for snorkeling and for quality customer service — he definitely embodies the spirit of aloha for visitors stopping through. If we’re ever back on Kauai, we’ll 1000% be back to rent from this location.

  I really enjoyed talking to Nathan and he hooked me up with a day’s worth of snorkel gear that worked perfectly for me. Also, he recommended a better place to snorkel than where I was planning to go. And he was right. His video that he shot the day before of a sea turtle was just gorgeous. I hadn’t snorkeled in 25 years, so it was nice to see that I could still manage to breathe and float. Highly recommend Nathan and Boss Frog’s at Poipu.

  Great experience. Best snorkel & mask set up. No fog or leaking issues, snorkel very comfortable. Customer service was excellent. Sawyer took his time and explained how the equipment worked and how it should fit. We will be coming back next year. Thanks again Sawyer.
