  We recently stayed for 2 nights, unfortunately our van got damaged getting it onto the pitch as the access was poor, there was quite a steep incline to access the hard standing gravel pitch so took ages getting it on I would say pitch 27 is not really suitable for larger vans as it’s really hard to get the right swing especially if all adjacent pitches are occupied, we got it off easier as the pitch opposition had left just before we did so we had extra room. Clean site showers & toilets, they are a bit dated and it’s a small facility for the amount of pitches it has so I often had to wait It was uncomfortably hot in there too ( but it was 33 degrees outside) The shower block & toilets , bins & dish washing area are right next to reception so it can be quite a trek to get there and its uphill so if you have mobility issues like I do I suggest getting a pinch near the reception area. Nice onsite dog walking area and it’s mostly shaded so good for Walks when it’s hot & sunny The site is situated on a busy main road so difficult to pull out but we didn’t get disturbed by road noise. 20/30 minute drive there are supermarkets & take aways The on site shop is tiny only stocking very basic supplies and doesn’t stock ice like many other sites do which was disappointing in a heat wave ! Beautiful views from the bench near the entrance Staff were pleasant enough but didn’t stick around when we were clearing having issues accessing our pitch, just got told we shouldn’t have moved the cones !!! ( we didn’t move any cones ) but if we had How were we supposed to know they should not be moved ??? So not helpful at all Water & toilet waste facilities were near our pitch so easily accessible I wouldn’t rush make a return visit here but never say never

  Simple, quiet campsite halfway between Stonehenge and Salisbury. Easy access to several sites worth seeing, like Winchester, Salisbury, Stonehenge and even Avebury, which isn't that far away. A nice toilet block, just as you would expect for caravan and motorhome sites, but beware there is only one block near the entrance and if you end up away from the initial spots it can be a bit of a trek uphill to the toilet block. However, the pitches are nice and secluded in the trees, so it depends what you are after.
