The leisure centre, particularly the management, is not great. We use it for swimming lessons, and kids activities. Swimming lessons are not very well organised. They don't update the points on the app regularly and unless you beg to be assessed and progressed to the next stage, you pretty much get lost in the system and nobody knows of your existence. The changing areas are dirty despite there always being a person cleaning them which is weird. The pre-booked kids activities such as clip n climb often don't take place as there is nobody to run it, so don't let your child become too excited about it until you're actually there and are sure that they have an instructor in place! The reception staff are unfriendly and lack customer service. Costa Coffee staff are not the nicest either and always long queues to grab a drink. The viewing area of the training pool is always messy and dirty. The choice of adult classes is ok, but they are very busy and so is the gym. All in all, it could have been a really valuable addition to Staines town, but instead it's being badly let down by people who are supposed to manage it and can't do it.

The gym is very well-equipped. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The biggest problem is the air conditioning not working when temperatures exceed 30°C.

I really recommend Eclipse Leisure Centre. I sometimes use the gym here and also bring my daughter every week for swimming lessons. She used to have lessons somewhere else, but I’ve noticed a big difference in the quality of teaching here. The pool is also very clean and well looked after. I often grab a coffee from Costa and sit at a table watching her swimming lessons through the glass, which is really convenient. After swimming, we often stay for the bouncy castle and climbing wall. These are available more often during school holidays, and there are often special prices during the school holidays. There are two different bouncy castles, so I’d recommend booking the bigger one. The price difference isn’t much, but it’s definitely much more fun!
