Hurn Lane Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite in Somerset is a pleasant and open resort located just a short 15 minute walk from a sandy beach. The charming traditional seaside town of Burnham is easily accessible from the Club campsite. Early November every year you can enjoy Burnham’s famous carnival - a colourful and lively feast of entertainment. Nearby Brean has a Fun Park and at Brean Down there is the Tropical Bird Gardens. Visit Cheddar Gorge and their famous caves and Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company’s Rural Village. An ideal site for dogs, families, couples and friends with a playground and dog area on site.

- JEjamie evans6 days ago5.0Just got back from our stay at hurn Lane unfortunately we had to leave early due to extreme heat. The site is spotless good size pitches we rate it a 10 we will definitely return 👍
- DLDeb LudfordJun 16, 20265.0A very warm welcome from the lovely male Welsh warden. Pitches are well maintained and site is obviously well cared for. There are two toilet blocks, both with dish washing and laundry areas. A well stocked information room is well worth a visit just so that you don’t miss anything in the area. Mark was particularly helpful, recommending cycle routes and describing the best way to get to the beach. The site is a credit to the staff.
- HHHelenJun 16, 20265.0Hurn Lane is a single road leading to the site, this does not cause a problem as you need to be off site by 11am & arrival is 1pm or later. Very friendly & helpful staff at reception. We had booked a hardstanding pitch, plenty big enough for caravan awning & car. Site is wonderfully clean including the toilet blocks. Showers have plenty of hot water with a good pressure. We found the site to be very relaxing & quiet even over the weekend which was just what we needed. We would definitely use again.

What types of pitch are available?

Can non-members book campsites online?
Yes, non-members can book selected Club campsites online. Non-members are required to pay an additional supplement of �15 per night to stay upon arrival at site. Tent pitches can also be booked online, there is no non-member supplement to be paid when booking a tent pitch.
Does the Club own any overseas sites?
We work closely with over 310 campsites which are regularly visited and inspected by Club staff. We don't own or directly manage any overseas sites.

Do I need a different driving licence for driving a motorhome or towing a caravan?
If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you are able to drive any combination of car and caravan, or any motorhome with a weight of up to 7500kg (or 8250kg with a trailer). If your licence starts after 1st January 1997 then you can drive a car and caravan with a combined maximum weight of 3500kg (or 4250kg to include a small trailer weighing no more than 750kg). You can also drive a motorhome with a weight of up to 3500kg (with a small trailer of up to 750kg, or a heavier trailer if the combined maximum weight is no more than 3500kg). For all drivers aged 70 and over, the motorhome weight allowance is reduced to 3500kg maximum weight, unless a medical report is supplied.

How do I access the free Wi-Fi?
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be able to access FREE Wi-Fi (for basic browsing and emails only) after registering on the portal. The portal is only available when you are located in the hotspot area on a Club campsite offering Wi-Fi.
Where on the site will the hotspot be located?
The wireless hotspot will be located close to reception. Sharing a limited bandwidth with others may also vary the speed of service with some sites being a distance from the exchange. Our service is suitable for basic web surfing and emails but not updates or streaming e.g. BBC iPlayer and YouTube.
Do I have to be a member to stay on a UK campsite?
Non-members are welcome to book and stay at many of the Club campsites, however there are some that are member-exclusive. This information is available on each individual campsite webpage. Members may bring friends or family too, as long as they stay for the same duration.
How long can you stay on a Club Campsite?
Yes, however, if you have multiple pitch types booked within the duration of your stay, it may not be possible for you to remain on the same pitch for your entire stay. During busy periods you will potentially need to move to the pitch(es) you originally booked.
Can I stay on Club campsites with a tent?
It�s likely that since the Directory was printed, the campsite has withdrawn from our network and so will not appear online. If you feel that there is still an error, please phone us on 01342 327 490.
Can I book different pitch types throughout a stay?

Trailer tents and folding campers are considered the equivalent to a caravan, rather than a tent so they are therefore accepted on Club campsites that wouldn�t normally permit conventional tents. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are self-build conversions welcome?

Are trailer tents and folding campers welcome?
Boats aren�t designed to be used for accommodation on land and so, unfortunately, we don�t accept them on our campsites. The only exception to this is Wilderness Boats, which are small canal boats that are purposely designed for dual use on the land and in the water. Search for our outfit types page for a comprehensive list of outfit types we welcome.
Are roof top tents welcome?
New members can have online access as little as one hour after joining online. Your email confirmation containing your membership number usually arrives within 48 hours of joining online.
Are boats on trailers welcome?
You can include a joint member to your membership free of charge. Additional family members can be added for �10 each. Joint and family members must live at the same address as the lead member and be over 18 years old.
If I become a member online, how quickly will I be able to book UK Club campsites?
If you are the full member you can amend your membership details under My Profile. You can also amend your membership details, including amending joint or family members, by using Webchat or phoning our membership services line.
