Very well maintained level site that is just over a mile, about 20 minutes, from Henley-on-Thames Town centre. A circular road with spurs leading around to the mix of grass and hardstanding pitches, staggered to add privacy and space to each pitch, clearly marked and with an electrical point serving 4 pitches. The shower and washblock was immaculately clean and nicely heated with plenty of hot water. The site is dog friendly with a clearly marked, small dog area. The pitches are all nice and even, so require minimal, if any levelling chocks. The most uneven part of the site is from where the rabbits have dug up small areas of grass, but nothing major and it is quite entertaining to watch the rabbits playing and basking in the sunshine, especially the young ones. We enjoyed our three night stay at Henley Four Oaks and will certainly return. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and know the local area very well and can direct you in the direction of dog friendly pubs and cafes. There are plenty of ealks locally plus the 850 bus runs right past the front if the site providing a 20 minute service (Monday to Friday) to and from Marlow. Slightly further afield is Reading. The pitches next to the road do experience some road noise but the further over you go into the site the less you can hear. Price wise, on a par with most other CAMC and privately owned sites, though not as good value for money as sites of a simiar size in France - but you know what you get quality wise at all CAMC sites.

We stayed at Four Oaks Henley Caravan & Motorhome Site this weekend while my partner was taking part in Tough Mudder. The site was recommended to us by a friend, and we even joined the Caravan and Motorhome Club just so we could stay here, which makes the experience even more disappointing considering the cost. The site itself is lovely. The shower block was spotless, everything was clean and tidy, and it’s within walking distance of Henley, which is beautiful. There is quite a bit of noise from the nearby road and planes overhead due to Heathrow being close, and the phone signal and WiFi were both poor, but honestly none of that bothered us anywhere near as much as the attitude from the woman on reception. I don’t usually leave reviews — this is actually my first — but I spent the whole drive home thinking about how rude, miserable and unwelcoming she was. From the moment we arrived, every interaction felt like we were inconveniencing her just by asking normal questions. Instead of feeling welcomed, it genuinely felt like being spoken down to by a grumpy school teacher. The final comment as we left completely summed it up. My partner simply asked what to do with the gate fob because we couldn’t remember, and the response was: “The same thing I told you on Friday.” There was no need for the attitude whatsoever. If we had actually been welcomed properly instead of being made to feel uncomfortable from the start, maybe we would have remembered. For the money this site costs, customer service should be far better than this. It completely overshadowed what could have been a really enjoyable weekend away. Such a shame, because the site itself is nice, but one miserable member of staff was enough to ruin the whole experience for us. We won’t be returning.

Nice campsite run by caravan and motorhome club, short walk from Henley on Thames. Facilities were very clean, maybe slightly dated but overall fine and certainly usable. I would recommend this site and return back if the need arises.
