This camp site is excellent, wardens are really friendly and helpful. Site is well placed for trips out, and walks from the site around the Strid Wood and Bolton Abbey. A really good day out.

This site is located within the estate of Bolton Abbey, and there are walks directly from the site, giving keen walkers and dog owners lots of scope for varying abilities and interests. It is a great base for exploring the other excellent areas of the Yorkshire Dales too. The site has level spacious pitches as you'd expect from a CAMC site. It is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by trees. There is a very small dog walk from site. However, the wider Bolton Abbey estate trails are right on the door step for a longer walk, with some areas allowing off lead walking. The facilities block is slightly dated but clean and tidy. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the little shop/reception is a bonus for essentials or ice cream treats. I would highly recommend and stay here.

This is a lovely site. Peaceful and set in the wonderful Bolton Abbey Estate. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Facilities are well maintained. Just spent two great nights here and plenty of great walking available in the Estate. Dog friendly with its own dog walk. Great tea room next to the entrance to the site. Will definitely be back

Stayed at Bolton Abbey Estate Caravan Park. Not a member of caravan and motorhome club so was alittle extra. But worth joining if you use membership regularly. We were attending a wedding at Bolton Abbey but had an extended stay. The site is good, clean and well maintained, and staff are welcoming, and helpful . A good little shop on site with essentials and caravan spares. There is no phone signal or tv signal at this sight. You will need a 25 mtr tv aerial lead and a a power 25 mtr cable for electric hook up. These are sold at the site about £45 for the power cable and about £20 for tv cable. They welcome dogs and have a dedicated walking area for them good facilities such as showers, laundry room etc... There are some lovely walks. As you exit the camp site immediately to the right there is a tea room with a large outdoor area if you go down the gravel road/track way to the right before the tea rooms the is a great walk through Stide Woods through to Bolton Abbey a circular walk with a tea room on route. Just past the tea room along (about half way to the Abbey) the river are lots of picnic benches to stop and take a picnic. Whilst the signs are limited from the start you can walk via the riverside to the Abbey. If you go to the right it's the higher in the more wooded area but you will still get to the Abbey. After the Abbey you can continue down the road to the local pub then walk back to the Abbey. The Abby is open on the far side and you can go in. You can walk back on the other side crossing the the footbridge or the stepping stones across the river. Then begin the wellie walk back with activities for kids on route. This will take ypu back to the tea room passed on the way there. Not enough space to add all pics. There is a car park to nearer at the tea rooms.
