First time staying here and this site is amazing! The site facilities are incredibly clean considering its in a woodland setting, they were kept pristine. I couldn't believe how quiet and dark it gets here, no light pollution or traffic noise just pure serenity. The children had an incredible time reconnecting with nature, getting dirty and exploring the woodland paths and bike trails (non existent signal / wifi absolute blessing for unhooking a tech addicted teenager). I can't recommend this site highly enough!! I almost skipping with glee when i went down to the reception to extend our stay, we just didnt want to leave. Definitely will be returning! First holiday my husband and I have come away from feeling truly refreshed (not an easy feat with 3 children) we've walked miles, collected pine cones, explored castle ruins and found local museums. Staff are lovely, the variety of food trucks that visit and the site make this an easy 5 Stars review 🌟

Fantastic camp site with excellent facilities which were very clean and well maintained. The camp site is set against the woodland and pitches are separated from each other with plenty of space. Great location for West & North Norfolk. Will definitely return. Little to no phone signal which is a blessing and a curse and the site WiFi isn’t great at the camping area.

While the site itself is very well kept with great facilities - the rest of our experience wasn’t so great. We really disliked that you cannot book specific pitches, & even when asked if we could reserve 2 pitches close to another as we were holidaying as a family in 2 caravans, we were told no. Upon arrival - multiple pitches had been reserved. The 1pm entry was like a scramble - caused a lot of extra traffic going round & round the site, how safe this is for children is questionable. There are many rules on this site, which is fine by us as long as everyone follows them. Things like no ball games outside pitches etc wasn’t honoured, people were asked to dismount cycles down the hills - wasn’t honoured & many electric bikes being used at speed around the site which didn’t follow the 5mph rule. Cars with caravans driving round the site so quickly that one of the caravans travelling at speed slipped off the road onto a pitch and skidded. Children are asked to supervised at all times - again, wasn’t followed. The wardens patrol but don’t seem to say anything? People walking over others people’s pitches close to their cars & caravans - again another rule break. We suffered for half a week with loud children at all hours, bikes flying past at dangerous speed, people on our pitch … we mentioned this to the reception & were told that they can’t do anything about it. Now this is where we were really annoyed … children playing outside of our van with a ball/remote control car, this wound our puppy up who was then barking at said children. The warden came round and asked us to control our 11 month old puppy. We’d be fine with this if the warden had sorted all the other issues going on but were very quick to pick on us. We were that annoyed that we left our holiday early as we were sick of the things we were expected to tolerate. We expected more from a caravan and Motorhome club site. Our pitch which we were on was also so uneven that we had to jack our caravan up so high that it was difficult to even get it on the ramps - it was sky high! The staff were mainly friendly but didn’t really want to know when there were issues. We didn’t enjoy our time on this site and will not return. It seems it’s one rule for one and one rule for another.
